LOL , that’s actually what i’m going for… man bale is a fucking beast of an actor… you see him in “the fighter” ??? amazing acting.
D Public wrote:
do you think half squatting translates better to vert training?
for me it does… for many basketball-player/high-jump builds it does too, short torso, long legs… i have a hip injury too which makes going deep no fun at all, it gets very bad (disabling) if i go deep.
so ya, half squat transfers great to vert… if i was long torso, short legs, i’d have to go deep… but given my build, i actually get tons of glute/hamstring at half depth… so it’s not like im neglecting glutes/hamstrings… but i make sure to hit glutes/hams harder with:
- sprints
- glute bridges/glute work
- lunges
for people who go deep, utilizing half squatting in their peaking phase can yield some big gains in vert according to professor verkhoshansky.
peace man

uh yes…
and?
actually no, i can’t…

Oh and ‘skinny’ doesn’t equate to being ‘ripped’, just weedy with no muscle.
BBB
tell that to Cam Gigandet, he’d armbar you within 30 seconds tough guy.
Yea, and with my grip I could crush your girly wrist in like 3 seconds not tough guy. Go troll somewhere else.

i’m laughing so hard at this comment… you do understand I noset close CoC #3 grippers right?
I would crush your hand into little pieces, but as a proud member of the grip board, we don’t condone using our grip strength to crush brittlebros little weak hands.
so relax, i’ve also pinch gripped 2 45’s smooth side out… i could probably poke a hole in your forearm with my thumb and forefinger.
i’m not trolling.
oh and not to brag, i’ve also bent an IronMind red in front of Strossen at the arnold…
so please, save it for someone else.
This thread will be used as evidence when OP eventually snaps and kills someone for not liking his high socks. Although, it’s probably a fair assumption that he already has several bodies buried in his backyard…

Offense taken. Are you an authority on bodybuilding? You define the rules? I bodybuild by streamlining my physique as much as possible. For me, jumping is everything, that is my #1 goal in life. So I build my body by: improving leg/glute/calf mass & strength, decreasing upperbody lean mass/upper body bone mass/water weight/glycogen reserves/and fat mass.
With all do respect, offense was taken. I do not look like shit, most females would attest to this, on the internet or in real life where i routinely get looks, compliments, and phone numbers. On another note, I actually had my bodyfat PERSONALLY caliper tested by Greg Glassman, and he stated that my physique was very proportional, aesthetic, and athletic. He mentioned my physique was more like bruce lee’s, same leverages and at the time, same body fat. Perhaps it was just because I flared my lats for him, perhaps I will flare my lats for T-Nation, but as of now with all of these insults it doesn’t look like it.
I’ve checked your pictures in your profile, I don’t want to start some kind of feud, but you have no right telling someone they look like shit. I embrace & enhance my ecto, while you seem to struggle improving your meso. And honestly, what’s up with the bushido shtick? I’m not trying to insult your love for the japanese samurai warriors, but, let’s just get one thing straight. Worshipping a “breed of warriors” who was so horribly defeated in WW2 and in Pride vs UFC is futile. Your role models should not be “the defeated”, perhaps that is why you have stalled your progress. Anyway I hope that helps.
I have no ego.
Listen i’m not trying to threaten you, sorry if you took it that way. I have alot of respect for those kinds of issues and would never threaten anyone on the internet. I respect the dojo, I have an extensive martial arts background growing up, 10 years in shotokan karate. For the last 4 years I’ve spent my time training UFC at various gyms around south florida.
Here’s some heavy bag work AFTER I sparred with a pro mma fighter and junior olympic boxer:
Again, incorrect. I look better than most lightweight powerlifters, and my lifts are not far off in the deadlift/squat. My half squat is 325 x 5 @ 152, my deadlift, though I do not train it anymore due to back issues, is easily over 400.
I am skinny, sure, but so is a cheetah. I am a cheetah among lions and bears on T-Nation. I am not willing to disrespect my own bread in order to try and become a lion or bear. Too many cheetah’s on here trying to become bears or lions, it is a shame really. Embrace who you are in the bodybuilding world.
Anyway, when I get down to 130 5% bodyfat, I’ll probably do a few shows.

cya
anyway, to my fans in this thread, i’ll post progress pics when I hit 145, and then again at 140, and then again at 135, and finally at 130… first step, 145.
let’s do this.

You do realize that you can only get so strong at your current weight and your relative strength doesn’t magically increase if you are losing weight necessarily, right?
Think about it this way, if you weigh 130 and can squat 275 vs weighing 160 and squatting 375, you are much stronger 30 pounds heavier and also stronger relative to your bodyweight.
That’s irrelevant if the weight gain actually makes your performance worse.

Seconded. Best. Troll. EVAR.

Oh and last I checked you weren’t Cam Gigandet, so unless he’s your personal bodyguard, threatening me with one of his armbars is pretty weak.
And I wasn’t trying to be ‘tough’. I was simply stating fact; you are skinny and have no visible muscle. Sure you might be strong (no proof of that though), but this is STILL a BBing forum, and you STILL don’t look like anything other than a skinny little man.

-1 for biting on obvious troll.
Point is that there are still a huge amount of performance athletes on the site that really couldn’t give a flying fuck about how they looked.
Also, skinny guys who’ve spent some time even semi-seriously training for both striking and grappling will destroy a 6ft 220lb recreational bodybuilder. Anyone who thinks that they’re automatically tougher than someone simply because their bigger is seriously delusional.

First of all, i’m not trolling. Second of all, I agree with the other comments you stated.

I hear he’s already got several internet haters buried in there along with the “athlete” formerly known as SquatDR.
He’s obviously serious, based on the copious amount of previous posts that are just as dumb. Doesn’t mean he’s not a troll.
No ego? hilarious bro. people don’t make 50 different videos of themselves with machetes and dunking and punching if they don’t have an ego.
bodybuilding? not so much. you can call what you’re doing bodysculpting, or toning, or something fruity like that, but it’s certainly not bodybuilding. i think it’s funny that you ask ‘who’s to say what i’m doing isn’t bodybuilding?’
a dictionary, dipshit.
one last thing: any time you begin a post with, ‘not to brag, but i can do [fill in the blank]’… it means your bragging. don’t worry though. nobody’s impressed.
