Want More Definition

I want more definition in my biceps. They are in line with the rest of my body sizewise, but are behind in terms of definition. I have never had that vein that runs down the outside popout noticeably or any really good definition generally. The size is there. What I need is definition. It’s not a matter of general bodyfat bc I am generally very lean.

Hammer curls have helped somewhat, reverse curls havent really seemed to do anything for definition, and of course I do standing barbell curls. I also do dumbell curls and incline bench. However, these exercises seem to have primarily made my biceps deeper without really creating any more definition. Any tips?

The secret is to do them in the squat rack. gl

I want to flame you so badly, but I will give you the perfect way to actually look like a real man instead of a douchebag beach fag that I want to punch in the face everytime I am lifting around him and his posse of other loud-mouthed douchebags doing half-reps on machines with their fucking iPod’s wrapped around the top of their arm so their veins bulge when the lift…ok, rant over.

Anyways, do weighted Chin-ups. Heavy weighted chin-ups. Work up to a double body weight chin-up (if I ever had the balls to have someone videotape me lift, I would demonstrate…I am also working up to a double bodyweight dip, I am only 150-155 lbs. though [no not because I am in a “cutting phase” to have abs, but because I am a sprinter and like to stay strong and lean all year round]).

Come back to me when you can do that, instead of some pansy-assed squat rack curls and we will see how that vein looks.

If that fails, get one of those rubberbands that old guys put around their peeps to get a hard-on and put them on your arms. That should work.

yea, one of the dumbest responses ive ever seen.

if youre lean enough that youve got a “six pack” and you still dont have that vein, then its probably more to do with genetics/where your prominent veins are routed than anything else. i also struggle with the bicep vein, yet if i even raise my arm halfway up ive got several veins popping out of my shoulders/neck/chest.

stop worrying about that fucking vein man, some people are big and lean and its just not that prominent. if youre big, youre big, and thatll be impressive enough, people arent going to take away points because your bicep vein isnt buldging.

it’s not that I particularly want the vein to stick out. I just cited that as example of general lack of definition. My biceps just generally for some reason look “smooth” or wtvr rather than defined like the rest of my body.

Screw the vein, I agree that it probably just is routed differently than most people. But I definately would appreciate any advice if anyone has got any on how they developed definition in their biceps bc what Im doing doesnt seem to be working. By the way, I do weighted chins as my primary lat exercise.

more muscle + less body fat = better definition

it is that simple

Yep.

You might be “fairly lean” now, but you’re obviously not lean enough if you don’t have the muscle definition you want.

Check out Don Alessi’s Meltdown. Basically, there is a hierarchy of where fat is lost first, which looks like this: Abdomen > Trunk > Arms > Legs. So, you may have abs showing, but still have bad definition in the arms and legs. GH/lactic acid training can help you lose the more stubborn arm and leg fat without losing size.
