No kidding. I have complete bench envy.
I guess you are getting your strength back. You must be feeling pretty good about it.

X2…AWESOME
Wow! Awesome job Gbench! Does 195lb match your before accident 1RM?
Claire
my god benching is my ultimate weak link. you’re lifts are incredibale!!
i’m ecstatic i got ALMSOT a full push on 135-that is a PB for me. i did about 3/4ths of the way down before i pushed up.
i’m pretty pleased though, well bitterweetly buy still sweet that i got my deadlift pb back. 250.
squats are no where near what they used to be, but hey! i got 255 on monday, much deeper then i used to do years ago, so better in that sense.
G Bench - you are amazing! Keep up the hard work!
Brute - those numbers are NOTHING to sneeze at! That’s a fantastic squat! (especially deep squat!)
Thanks Ladies, I appreciate your responses!!! I really enjoy benching and so glad my hand healed completely with no problems. Looking for 200lbs next!!

Hey Claire! I hit 190 clean before the accident with a pause. I’ve done 195 but it was ugly!!! I mean my butt was at least a foot off the bench!!!
So, I guess you could say this is a new PR because its a little cleaner.
The 180 for 4 is a PR for reps, a week before the accident I hit 180 for only 2 and missed 190.

This is an amazing and inspiring thread! Thank you all for posting! Best thing I’ve seen all day! One question though- how long did it take you all to get where you are today?

Those numbers are awesome! I envy your squats!!! I can bench more than I can squat, isn’t that sad…and since the accident, w/ a broken knee cap, I’m having trouble squatting now or doing anything that resembles a squat such as trap bar deads. I can sumo deadlift though with little pain, but having to work on getting that strength back as well.
As for your 135 on bench that is a great number, keep trying the heavy weights, your body has to feel the weight and learn to handle it, if the muscle is going to grow.

Thanks Oleena! I’ve been training for several years. But only competitive lifting for about 3 years. The last 3 years, I’ve really focused on my training, prior to that it was “just time in the gym” if you know what I mean.

Gbench you’re still my hero!! i am a bit obsessed right now with getting that damm bench up, but you are incredibale, again i salute you girls !!
thanks mmgalb!

Any training tricks for upping your max quick? (I know of several little tricks but am always interested in others).

What does your bench routine currently look like? I would be more than happy to give you some suggestions of things that have worked for me.

That’s great. It must feel good to be hitting PRs again!

Bench 1x175lb - I have benched 175lb but this is the first time without a lift off.

That is just totally badass and super impressive!!!What are some of your other liftssorry if you’ve already mentioned it before just curious)
Agreed! That’s an awesome bench and I LOVE watching your technique for getting your feet underneath you and getting a good arch and sitting up on your upper back… awesome!
