I would really appreciate anyone’s help on this question - which I hope is an relatively easy one to answer. What role would Vitex play in affecting a woman’s fertility? That is, Vitex has a hormonal affect on the reproductive ‘axis’, but how does that affect what physically happens during the course of my cycle? Over the course of time, would or could I expect it to play any role in positively affecting my fertility? Thanks SO much to anyone who can explain this to me in understandable terms, and I should mention that my searches on the site for relevant info yielded mostly responses dealing with Guys taking Vitex. Well, thanks again for any insights…
Can anyone please lend me a hand with this??
Wouldn’t a gynecologist know this answer or a herbalist? Just a thought.
My understanding is it does NOT affect fertility. Try searching with google.
Supplementwatch.com provides a very good synopsis of some of the studies and theories behind the use of Vitex (also, ironically, known as “Chasteberry,” which is an intersting story in itself!). I think you may find the answer to your questions there.
