Interesting factoid – don’t take it as gospel
since it’s only a one-person, one-time experiment over one week.
I’m working right now both with myself and
others on more aggressive brief cycle plans,
such as 2 on / 2 off and even 2 on / 1 off.
On myself this time I decided to rely mostly
on Vitex (one capsule of the Solaray product per day) and the new Tribex (at label dosage) for recovery in
the off week. Now I did muddle the experiment
by taking a loading dose of Clomid on day 1,
just to be certain, and next time I will not
do that.
Results from one off week have been excellent.
Libido if anything has been consistently even
higher than during the cycle, though that
is not necessarily due to amazing T levels
but could be due to good T levels combined
with dopaminergic effect. I’m actually a little
stronger after the week off though that could
be neurological. LBM retention has been good: I’m down 8 lb but typically I’m down 9 lb immediately after a cycle, due not to loss of contractile protein but loss of glycogen and glycogen-associated water, and also less food in the system. And besides that I think one pound of that is fat loss, since, contrary to usual practice of having maintenance calories in the first off week, I kept calories a little low.
I did not experience increase to above-baseline
ejaculatory volume, as Brock has reported, but
I kind of wonder if that’s to be expected anyway, since Brock says Vitex does not increase FSH, and I rather suspect FSH increase
is how Clomid increases ejaculatory volume. In that one respect Clomid would have worked better. In all other respects, the Vitex/Tribex
stack was completely satisfactory, and next
time I will omit the Clomid entirely, to see what happens.
Overall, if you have access to Clomid I’d
still recommend that approach, since it’s
so well proven. However, if you don’t have
access to Clomid, this herbal stack appears
quite effective (and I’d expect the new
Biotest “M” product, especially if combined
with Tribex, to be even better.)
