Vinegar and lemon juice with meals might lower the Gi’s of foods. Anyone heard this? and if so, do they know how much it lowers it?
Secondly, I heard that Pinaple Juice (sp?) helps with digestion of Protein?

A lot of people have an overly alkaline blood PH. Some health advocates think this can lead to weakness, fatigue, depression, and a host of other ailments. They believe vinegar is one of the worst foods these people can have.
Vinegar or lemon juice can lower g.i. by up to 30 points. This is an old dieter’s trick that has also been recommended by Poliquin. I use red wine vinegar and extra virgin olive oil on my salads, as well as a tbsp. of ground flaxseed.
As far as the pineapple juice you are talking about, i think its suggested for a certain substance found in the fruit called bromalain (sp?), This substance is supposed to be a natural fruit digestant used by some people
