It looked to me that Sly is the closest to the camera and Arnold is the farthest. Depending on the focal length of the lens the foreshortening effect could make Sly look taller than he is. Fisherman and hunters know all about this for taking trophy shots.
yea greekdawg i agree…theres a 4 inch difference and they look almost identical in height (sly even looks like he’s not standing straight). if the numbers are right, then that camera trick is amazing.
I’ve also heard that Sly is as short as 5’5", but then again these kinds of speculations is usually bullshit.
I’ve met Sly in real life. He is indeed 5’8" or shorter. The only problem with that assessment is that he ALWAYS wears cowboy boots or “make me taller” shoes. No joke.
OK I’ve seen both these guys in person, but Arnold from somewhat of a distance and Stallone close up. I’m 5’9" and Stallone gave me the impression of being around my height, but if he was wearing magic shoes, that would imply that he’s a little shorter. Arnold did not give the impression of a giant, but this was at a crowded Planet Hollywood opening, so it is hard to judge.
I’m under the impression that most guys tend to add a little when reporting their… height.
you know what? Sly does look like hes wearing lifts. if you zoom in (or just looks closely) at the top of his shoe (the top rounded part of the foot, not sure what it is called), it definately seems too high. Yep, looks like lifts. thank god bc if I would have found out ah-nuld is 5’8" my little world would turn upside down!!!
Dammit my second post didn’t fly. Oh well. The sad fact is that Arnold is a human and his state of fitness varies like the rest of us. I’m sure he’ll be 6’2" or so for a while yet, although people do lose a inch or so when they age.
