Vertical Jump Squat Variations

Olympic ATG squats vs Powerlifting parrelel squats vs box squats, which one do you guys think is most effective in improving your vertical jump.

I’ve used box squats and currently i’m using Olympic ATG squats. I found box squats helped my increased my two leg vertical jump. As I increased my reactivity I also noticed that I got gains in my 1 leg vertical jump from box squats as well.

Olympic squats seem to help my two leg jump solely so I usually include deadlifts when i’m using Olympic squats in my training.

Just wondering your guys experiences and how different squat variations helped your vertical jump.

Of those I would posit that box squats are the least effective for vertical jump improvement as they leave out the quads.

This thread is going to get retarded. So I will say:

Answer: It doesn’t matter.
Reason: I can show you guys who use primarily box squat or wide-stance powerlifting squats who have gotten great results. I can show you guys who use mostly high-bar squats who have gotten great results. I can show you guys who have used mostly front squats and have gotten great results.

Now, commence thread highjacking and/or inane arguments about minutia.
