Alright folks, heres some off-topic questions; first of all i have a varocele, (or however u spell it), on my left ball and I’d like to know how this affects my T-levels, would it decrease them? as only 1 ball is funtining properly. Also can this problem lead to being sterile later on in life? (I’m 17 and have had it since I’ve been like 13 or so). Anyone know what the possibility of this problem spreading to both balls? I’ve had no surgery to correct the problem, my doc says that I dont need it since my balls don’t hurt from it, any opinions on that? (is he right or wrong?). Thanks in advance for any responses.
Hey, I had the same problem as you, but I was getting stabbing pains in my nuts, so I had to have the operation. I was also trying to inquire about the testoterone issue. I searched the web, and found some information about the topic, which pretty much stated that it it possible to have a lower testosterone level due to the varicocele. Do not quote me on this though, it was only something that I read. As I was doing this research, I asked my doctor and he said, “Well, I’m not really sure, but that isn’t important, what’s important is that we fix your varicocele.” I got so fucking pissed when he told me this, because it does matter to me. I asked him to take a blood test, and check my hormonal levels, and he said it wasn’t necessary. I haven’t gone back to him since, but I bought a saliva test kit, and it turned out that my test levels were in the upper range(this was about 1 year after the operation). My only advice to you, is to get a saliva kit and test yourself. Hope this helps.
I had a vericosecele many years ago which was keeping my sperm count low, I had it surgically corrected and we had a baby a year later. So, if you want kids sometime, you will probably have to get it fixed, it is a small surgery, but if you don’t ever want kids, you may never need it fixed.
