Alright well I’ve decided to implement some differnt training 1-2x a week…depending on how im feeling…for a short 15-20 min. I will be implementing…wheelbarrow walks, sledehammer training, farmer walks, backwards sled drags, and sitting down…and pulling a heavy weight with a rope. AND throwing rocks like i would a keg…cause i dont have a keg…and lifting and carrying really big heavy rocks…cause i have lots of em :).
MY ONLY question is HOW on earth do i implement it…would I just walk 40 yards for 3 sets for farmers walks, and the carry rocks n such…and how many sledgehammer swings would I use?..It’d be greatly appreciated if anyone could give me some insight on this.
I’d exam the basic movements in each of your exercises, see how they relate to “traditional” exercises, and go from there. For instance, wheelbarrow and farmer’s walks are similar, so I’d separate them into different days. Same for backwards sled drags and pulling a heavy weight with a rope. They’re similar.
lol i never even thought about that bikemike…what the hell…thats true. Perhaps I’ll only do 2 exercises one day for 10 minutes, and then add in another day and change and switch to the other 2 exercises…and maybe push the car for a “finisher”. Thanks a lot. But I’m still wondering…would I do famrmer’s walks for sets of 40 yards…or how do I go about this?..same with sled drags. Thanks
