Varicocele and TRT

I had bi lateral surgery done…it’s actually relatively safe btw, true you might end up on trt but don’t ya wanna at least try? Also 800 is way over blown someone ypur age is good between 500 and 800 the average being 500 to 600 that whole 700 to 800 is the top percentile and it’s not much. testosterone is individual people have different levels of feel good but most do ok at 500 to 600 to be honest don’t let numbers get to your head you need to go by how you feel and symptom relief not numbers.

Your very rite and I agree with you that testosterone levels vary from different individuals.
Have you done any labs to see if your TT or FT have increased sense your surgery??

Also I think you said your on clomid as well.
I was wondering what is your protocol???
Also I forgot to tell you here in Maryland we can run our own blood work if you want too. It can be kind of expensive but It allows you to micro manage your levels of everything.

So listen to this I wanted to see if you could give me some advice or if anyone could give me there thoughts.
Rite now my doctor has me on 25mg of clomid EOD. We are still wating for the labs and I know that you cant really tell too much without the labs. But this is what my docotor told me because I called him and told hime my errections were getting weaker. I ran my E2 levels with the senstive test and it came back at 21pg with ranges of (<29). He was telling me that if my FSH and LH come in at good levels along with my TT and FT then he said that because I have low SHGB that the level of 21 pg for my E2 may be to high for me.

Has anyone heard of this before that If you have lower SHGB you will be btter off with a lower E2???
@alldayeveryday and @systemlord if you guys want to chime in too as well that would be great

Guys with lower SHBG tend to have more free hormones including free estrogen even when E2 looks normal. DIM and calcium D glucarate can help rid excess free E2 without affecting E2 score.

This sounds accurate to me. It’s not discussed very often but I am starting to see more and more people mentioning this fact. SHBG does not only scavenge T but E as well. With low SHBG it stands to reason that if your Free T is high then your Free E would be as well.

So when I take the E2 sensitive test my free E2 is not included in that blood work???

Also what are some of the symptoms that Free E2 can cause is it the same symptoms as bound E2??
Do you think it is possible that E2 at 21pg ranges (< OR = 29) could be to high for me because of my Low SHGB

Your rite my Free T is through the roof but I never knew there was something called Free E.

How do control this Free E

SHBG is a scavenger of sex hormones. Just like you have a total and free testosterone you will have a total and free estrogen. As far as I know this is a grey area in medical science. It does make sense though that if you have low shbg with high free t that you would also have high free E. That being said your total E might look a bit lower but your Free E is higher. It’s a theory and one that Dr Crisler openly discusses.

Free Estradiol Test:
This test measures the free (unbound to SHBG or albumin) estradiol in blood. The test is performed using liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS).

Note: Studies on the effect of free estradiol blood levels in men are lacking. Only one reference concludes that free estradiol, not total, may be a better predictor of bone density in older men (J Bone Miner Res 2005;20:1334–1341.)

I have question I have been taking my oral temperature for the past 5 days and my temperature never reached anything higher the 97.3 its always 97.2 or 97.3 no matter what time of day it is.

Does this mean I have a thyroid problem??

fT3 is directly connected to your body temperatures, if body temperatures are low than fT3 isn’t where it should. Supplementing iodine and selenium could resolve your temperature issues.

Your temperatures cannot remain constant throughout the day/night or you would never sleep. Suggest your not shaking the thermometer and resetting it before taking your temperature each time.

How’s life been man still on trt it still working?

I’m good and thanks for asking. Its working great. I see it more and more all the time. My wife and I just got back from taking the kids to Disney World. Last time we went it was a nightmare and it destroyed me. I was so wore out and cranky and irritated the whole time. Actually had fun with the kids this time and took it like a champ. I’m very happy with my choice to take on trt.

How bout you? Any status updates?

Still fighting to get these varicoceles fixed t levels are 300 to 350

Hey man, did you get the surgery done? Its been 8 months for me since the surgery, supposedly my test levels are normal but i sitll have penile dryness, weak erections and a lot of fatigue. Plus my left nut has shrinked quite a bit. I’m also still infertile in regards to sperm mobility and volume. And i have a epididymal cyst on my right nut due to the fricking surgery.

I still don’t know what to do. im thinking of running clomid and hcg as i read studies that suggest that it could increase fertility and regrow you testes. Had any luck with those two drugs?

My T is around 500-600 according to three hormonal panels i had done. And i’m not sure if i should go all out with TRT at this point, im waiting to have an appointment with an andrologist (havent been to an andro before) in the next few days to hear me out.

Im at the point where im extremely suicidal over my condition. Doctors are fucking retards and they cant seem to be able to identify the issue. They also found a pituitary adenoma in my brain (my luck is amazing), and ruled it out as a prolactinoma or growth hormone secreting tumor. Yet my prolactin came back twice over the high end . They refused dostinex due to it being “just over the high end” and not an insane number as they usually see with patients.

Your test levels look ok. Is it the infertility that is bothering you? Clomid is certainly used as a fertility drug for men. I had a botched vasectomy and it took me a while to recover so I know how you feel. My testes never did go back to normal and I hate the doctor for that but I dont think there is anything I can do short of having another surgery. I dont think I can do that.

Hey bro, i was hoping you were online because you seem genuinely interested in helping the young guys here with issues.

My left teste shrinked way before i had the surgery. It just never recovered after it, i think i left the varicocele way too long till i had my surgery that it caused significant damage.

I have a doppler examination recently and everything seems to be fine. But like i said, i still have penile dryness, weak erections, no morning boners, fatigue constantly, i cant even walk 10 minutes without going out of breath, losing muscle, getting fat, getting depressed…you know the cycle.

My issue isnt infertility, but all the symptoms i have. I just want to get fucking healthy again, im only 23 and i cant even sleep with a woman anymore. The two endos i have been too that took so much money out of my pockets completely refused trying any drugs on me to test. Not even clomid, not even HCG, not even dostinex. Nothing. They jsut told me i have “psychological issues” and that they cant help me.

Ive also had all other tests related to these issues, from heart exams, to neurological examinations and even a genetic examination.

I could post my hormonal panels

Yeah post labs.
In the meantime does Cialis or Viagra help? Cialis seems better with sensation of dick.
Where do you live?

BTW you know suicide never the answer. You will figure it out. :grinning:. We will help

I am 41. When I couldn’t get my dick up for a fucking blow job. It was extremely depressing. But put me on a mission to fix. Your 23 and you must feel way worse than I did.

I live in Cyprus at the moment. Here is my most recent bloodwork:

TSH 2,90 μIU/ml Ref: 0,35 -4,94
FT4 1,15 ng/dl Ref: 0,70 - 1,48
FT3 2,80 pg/ml Ref: 1,71 - 3,71
SHBG 38,9 nmol/l Ref: 13,5 - 71,4
FSH 8,15 mIU/ml Ref: 0.95 - 11,95
LH 5,99 mIU/ml Ref: 0,57 - 12,1
PROLACTIN: 25,1 ng/ml Ref: 3,5- 19,4
TESTOSTERONE SERUM: 578 ng/dl Ref: 142-923 (what the fuck is this reference number)
CORTISOL: 12,7 μg/dl Ref: 3,7 - 19.4

Creatinine 1,33 mg/dl Ref: 0,66-1,25
Albumin 45 g/l Ref: 35-50

Will your insurance cover cialis? I read somewhere that most insurances don’t cover those drugs and cialis is damn expensive from what I’ve seen. So just wondering on how, those who are on it regularly, afford it.
