Comment: Training has been going well so far. The sumo pulls felt a little better than expected. Probably the best I’ve felt training in the morning. My OHP still feels like garbage and I’m considering dropping the training max yet again. I feel like I make minimal progress in my overhead movements. I feel like my grip is coming back pretty quick on all the pulls. I was using straps with a double overhand grip for my work sets and I think my grip suffered. Now I alternate the over under grip every work set and I think it helps. I should have pushed the first set up pulls for a rep max. One of my old training buddies wanted to work out so I went up to his gym. He has a personal trainer so I just did the workout he put us through. Tried not to kill myself and I think I accomplished that goal. It was different than what I would normally do which was nice, but there wasn’t much rhyme or reason to the programming. Just good old exercise. Had a lot of family stuff this past weekend as well as finishing up my final project of the semester.
Thankful: for getting to see my cousins over the weekend and finishing my first semester
Thought: A lot of people in our industry haven’t had very diverse experiences. So they don’t have enough dots to connect, and they end up with very linear solutions without a broad perspective on the problem. The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have. - Steve Jobs
