I’m in the process of getting my years working visa and I’m hoping to arrive in Vancouver around the end of June if all goes to plan.
I’ll need friends etc, which obviously you meet along the way, but I thought it might be a good idea to post up here with the fact I’ll be making the move and hopefully meet up with some fellow T-nationers who could share their wisdom of which gym to go to where I won’t be told not to deadlift and handed a slice of pizza instead…
On a side note, I’m a mechanic and the intention is to try and work on american muscle/hotrods or trucks, so contacts in that field would be massively appreciated!
I’m from Vancouver, or at least their suburbs. Depending what part of the city you are moving to, Club 16 Trevor Linden Fitness is a good place to start looking at a gym. Only $16 a month, newer equipment and yes you can deadlift. There are other gyms such as Steve Nash Fitness world, but from what I hear they are high pressure sales driven and generally costs $40-50 a month.
Cool, Cheers. I’ll try check out Trevor Linden Fitness then! not yet sure what part of the city I’ll be moving to, got the next stage of my work permit approved though so looking like I’ll def be coming across!
