Guys, I’m with you on this. But I suspect the basic answer is the difference between us and those entrepreneurial Yanks: the obvious answer is “start yourself a business”.
Hmm. Maybe I should go off and do some sums…

Count me in as another UK member, pissed at not being able to spend all my money on Biotest supps!
Here’s hoping things will get better ![]()
Just found this thread using the search function (aren’t I a good boy, instead of starting my own thread).
Anyhoo, I was thinking of putting in an order for around 600 bucks, the equivalent from various UK supplement companies was about 600 quid. At a saving of 300 quid, there’s no way VAT and customs are going to take that much off me, is there?

They got me for VAT+duty at about 35% of the value. Others on here seem to have reported more like 50% of the value. I guess you could challenge the assessment: they’ve got a big book of rates of duty (set by the EU, if you please, I think) and the rate they choose depends on subtle wordings, it seems. But who knows if that would work. I’m guessing not.
When you add on shipping, handling, and a small profit margin, it’s easy to see why businesses over here charge about double the Biotest price. Rip of Britain? Fucking rip off Customs, more like.
Fucking right. I live in the Isle of Man and don’t ever have to pay UK tax, but because all parcel post comes into the island from the UK, I have to pay them tax because it goes into the UK first, not directly here. Gits.
I know someone in the UK that owns a small sports shop that can help the cause.

Im just east of london in brentwood - and definatly game for some bulk buy! ![]()
Do we have a petition yet?

cheers

My dad is in California for a few months so I’m gonna test customs by him resending a package to me labelled as a gift.
This will probably only happen next month, but we’ll see what happens.
ok… sounds interesting. where r u operating from? for the whole meet up and pay cash thing? how far u willing to travel etc… id be up for that first couple of times as opposed to risking delivery…
I have had no contact from London Runner…
How do we go about ordering then?
I’m in London. I don’t travel much. You coming down to London is going to cost a hell of a lot more then shipping. I can probably Parcel Force or FedEx it to you for cheaper.
But if you want to meet me in person, I’m in London.

Not to undermine you LR, but on european supplements, HRX are now £26!
£26.79 if you look again, what is 21p in the grand scheme of things when they don’t have anything else.
Lets see if they can get you Superfood and Z-12 as well.
And you are trying to undermine me.
LR
£13.49 for one pack of Spike on europeansupplements.com that’s a fucking joke.

Apologies LR, was comparing european supplements’ price to JMNutrition’s on eBay, instead of yours.
No harm intended. All is well and good ![]()
