I don’t have an answer about the urea but it might help to post the rest of your bloodwork as there may be an indicator somewhere in there.
What has your doctor said?
How much protein are you currently taking in?
I think a lot of people eat more than they really need to. For me 1.25g per pound of lbm is perfect.
What’s your weight and body fat?
If you were 12% then that would put you at LBM of 150lbs. 1.25g/p per lb would be around 190g p daily. That should be adequate to build muscle.
I wouldn’t think 200g/day would have a negative impact on your bloods unless you are an outlier with an undiagnosed condition.
I’ve eaten close to 400g/daily with no adverse effects but obviously i am not you.
Just keep an eye like your doc said.
Are you taking creatine? At one point i was taking 5mg/daily and didn’t notice my pre WO also had 5mg/scoop and i was taking 2 scoops 5 days per week. In total i was taking 15mg/day which is way too much and messed with my kidney numbers. Once i stopped that it took about 5 weeks to get everything back in check.
Just another angle.
Yea I’m taking creatine I was taking 5 grams a day and then I was watching something about taking 10g per day can have small benifits. Not sure how true this is.
But From what I understand creatine is pretty well studied, to be safe. So I upped it to 10g
But yea I did notice 3g in my preworkout. Now you mention it.
As a gout sufferer of 20+ years I can tell you it’s individual to the person affected. My manager has gout and takes 3 tablets a day. I take 4 tablets a week. Tuna and red meat are fine, I am in the process of upping my protein intake and I’m at around 150 grams a day hoping to increase it as I go (I’m 47). You have to experiment to find what works best for you which takes time.
Some things I do to help. Avoid oily fish, I switched to flaxseed oil for good omega 3’s. A glass of low fat milk is supposed to help clear uric acid from you blood, I do this daily. Take a high strength cherry extract daily, and don’t wear tight shoes. Sounds silly I know but if your shoes are narrow and the gouts in your big toe, it can create a pressure point which can cause flair ups. So far doing these things I’ve had less problems than before. Also get good sleep. I find my toe gets slight pain when i’m having sleepless nights.
Yea I thought it was abit personally some people seem to get it alot worse then others.
Currently eating 8 cherrys a day. Was told to do this. I will be getting some cherry extract for more convenience and probably stronger too.
Good to hear about the tuna and red meat. I eat a lot of these.
Curious about the Gout tablets as I have heard from a couple of people the cause stomach problems. But these people who said this both eat terrible so many it’s not the tablets hahaha.
The doctor recommended I take them I havent started yet.
