Ups and Downs of Excessive Muscle Mass

I’m weighing 210 right now, shooting for 220 at the moment. I likely require more calories because more of my body is composed of muscle mass, which is more metabolically expensive than other types of bodily mass. Like I mentioned before, I’m an extreme ectomorph by nature, so to be big I have to carry more mass compared to a meso or an endo at my same height.
Wow that stinks…I probably would take up golf if I had to do all that. Are you hungry for those calories or do you find yourself having to force them down?
Above 5000 is forced, anything below isn’t bad. I’m sitting at 3400 right now with two meals to go and it’s 630pm. I’m actually hungry right now too.

On another note, I lettered in golf in high school

Im also having a hard time understanding why 2020 is getting so much hate on here.

Anyways, on topic, besides obviously having a harder time with endurance because of the extra weight i carry, the only real disadvantage to having a lot of body mass is that its damn near impossible for me to get a decent nights sleep. The only position i can lay for extended periods of time without my arms falling asleep from the shoulder down is on my back and its just not a comfortable position to sleep on all night. I inevitably toss and turn all night because of this.

I am the heaviest ive ever been right now at 275 and my sleep is already noticeably worse than it was 10 lbs ago.

I really recommend laying on your stomach with pillows under your waistline/groin area to keep your lower back from dipping into the bed. This is honestly really comfortable.

Thanks for defending me as well, I appreciate that a ton.

25 huh, big dude.

25? if that was referencing my age im 22.

Sleeping on my stomach is problematic because sleeping that way with my arms at my side just feels very weird and uncomfortable. However, i usually sleep with one arm up under the pillow or something with the other at my side, but the arm thats up always falls asleep from the shoulder down.

I’d very much like to punch 2020gayness in da face!

I meant to type 275…whoops.

Yeah, I do the one arm under thing too, also one knee bent and one straight. I’m in a ‘frozen running’ position I guess. I think the best in the end is if you can actually sleep on your back. It’s tough to get to the point of finding it comfortable, but it’s good once you can!

Man I think I have about 5000 cals stuck in my teeth right now.

Nards…not an ectomorph.

Not saying I’m a mesomorph either.

You by far create the most narcissistic unhelpful threads ever. “Listen to the video once or twice” do you think you’re some amazing fitness “guru” whose opinion is actually valued?

You’ve been training for 10 years? Holy shit. 5,000 calories!!! That must be grueling.

Do you honestly think “solving” obesity is merely about going to gym? I’m not an expert but I don’t think telling fat people to go to the gym will fix their weight issues.

Why you mad though? This post made me smile because it’s always fun to see how much something so small can bother some people. I post a video with my thoughts on a fitness related topic and you get all up in arms without even knowing me. I’m not sure what that says about you, but it’s just funny to me.

You,my friend, are what people in United States call a douchebag.
You mad too? I’ve done nothing by defend myself against a typical immature attack by stating facts. If you can’t handle that without attacking me too, well then I guess you’re one in the same as the other guy.

That shit is totally my fault. I apologize to you and everyone else that is trying to contribute something useful to this discussion. I originally misjudged your intent to be just self promotion and not what it really was, to share your personal insight and knowledge. I should of left it the fuck alone, but I didn’t and I regret that it turned into this stupid name calling BS.

Again, I totally take responsibilty for jumping to the wrong conclusion and causing the resulting train wreck. I also sincerely apologize to 2020Wellness and for derailing this thread. My internet manners suck.

Mmmmmmmmmkay then!

I will gain 15 lbs by this time tomorrow if anyone out there asks me to.

Just don’t get all picky about how much of that will be fat.
