Hey guys, I’m new here but decided to sign up to T-Nation (been a long time reader) and absorb the vast knowledge that it has to offer.
I’ll be graduating next week (WHOO HOO!) and heading off to college. Now I am priviledged to be able to participate in Track and Field during college so after States I will be focusing my offseason on some hardcore lifting.
My college coaches told me that I could gain about 10-15 pounds of nice solid lean muscle(i’m 5’7-5’8ish 145 lbs) and actually get better in my events, especially the 55m and 100m
So far here are my current PB’s (I tested these in late march and haven’t lifted much since then so I’d say take away about 10-15 lbs form them now)
Bench Press-215
Back Squat-340
Power Clean-185
I will also be buying soem Surge, Power Drive, and Grow! within the next week along wth ZMA since my current stores are running out.
I’ll try to keep my diet clean but since I have been eating right since about January, i’m about on my last wire when it comes to sweets haha, I’ll give myself a little break after the State meet, I think I deserve it.
Wish me luck fellas, it’s going to be a FUN summer!

Yeah, you could definitely put some size on that frame and be faster. I can tell just from your numbers that your posterior chain is way behind; pack ten of those pounds on your hamstrings and glutes and you should be good to go. Some good college coaching should drop a few tenths off your times right away, too. High school coaches miss a lot when it comes to technique and proper training programming, so hopefully your college coaches will be better.
