Exactly as the title says, my neck upper back hurt when I squat. Right inside the shoulder blades, and then above where the bar is across my shoulders. Suggestions, please?
do you have a video?
you may be pulling your shoulders back too much when you squat instead of back and down.
Also your head placement could be putting pressure on those spots.
Also, how big are you, do you have alot of meat where the bar is sittting? If you dont have much going on back there, the bar is sitting on bone and can be painful until you get used to it.
Is the pain in two locations, or one? Are you using a low or high bar position?
Two. I set the bar at about the midpoint of my traps.
