I’m a big fan of Chinese food but dont eat it very often. Whenever I do like yesterday for example I ate about half a plate of it and my stomach starts to turn on me and I want to throw up. I was with a friend (not one of the whores or sluts) and she also almost immediately felt sick for about an hour or two. So I was wondering if any of you who do eat chinese food once in a while get sick from it?
Edit: So you guys had a few questions. I usually eat chinese food from two different places. One is a white table cloth…nice restaurant but I eat Americanized crap like pork ribs and sweet and sour chicken. I usually only get a light stomach ache but its really good so Ill quit for about half an hour and finish it off.
The new place I started eating at is a place at the food court in the mall. There are 6 or 7 asian places… this is the only one anyone eats at and there is always a line with a woman working two cash registers and yelling at you to move faster lol and ive gotten recommendations to eat there from several people. about 6+ people work there (all asian) and it looks clean. I eat similar stuff but I always get General Tao (aka as General Tso, General tsao etc) and it is awesome shit. I always get sick when I eat here and last time it was bad… I do not have a allergy to shellfish as far as I know because I have eaten shellfish. I dont have a any food allergies im aware of.
I plan on trying Thai food, Ive had Vietnamese and its good and I would like to find a nice sushi place.
Make sure the source is reputable. We always frequent Chinese places that have a good reputation, is clean, and has fast turnaround. I haven’t gotten sick yet.
It could be something as simple as the cook doesn’t wash hands after using the bathroom.
Hittin a chinese buffet tonight and I cant mother truckin wait!
I eat Chinese after squat and deadlift day. I grew up in Korea- so the Asian cuisine IS MY SHIT!

There’s a Chinese Buffet right near where I live, and I kid you not when I tell you I regularly see vomit in the parking lot and around the landscaping.
Needless to say I avoid that shithole.
I dont eat ‘‘chinese’’ food anymore. It is the most crappy food you can get and it makes me sick too

have you actually ever eaten chinese food or have you only eaten that “pretend” greasy buffet bullshit?
in china, the food is far nicer than the chinese food here.

I’m glad you said that. What most Americans consider Chinese food is kind of a misnomer when talking buffet-style/take-out food. I guess it also depends on where you live and what is available.
I grew up in fucking pinewoods of East TX and Chinese food was the restaurant of Vietnamese family who also owned convenience store. So that was Chinese enough for me at the time.
This is Chinese food to me now:

Lol.
For you people claiming Americanized chinese food isn’t real chinese food, what do you want everyone to call it? I’ve heard the argument that food in China is way different, and that’s all good and well, but I’m not going to start calling chinese food Americanized chinese food every time I mention it.
It’s chinese food. You can call your version of chinese food REAL chinese food if you want.
Chinese food is only a problem if you start to think about what’s in it.

Yes! I grew up in Japan and I’ve been really craving some yakisoba and cheese gyoza since it started getting cold.
Had some ‘derishush’ Chinese food in Japan as well.
The richness of the food could be a factor imo.
Agree with lanky, to me chinese food is chinese food, so uh whenever i eat a cheeseburger, am i now supposed to call it americanized food instead of just plain old cheeseburger.
The only real difference would be presentation, instead of the fried wontons being neatly arranged on a silver platter, they are on a buffet platter. Also what dwarf said, quality of the place makes a huge difference. Imo

Oh,no Lanky. What I said was not about getting REAL Chinese food…just GOOD Chinese food. A portion of what most call Chinese food is in fact Chinese…but most buffet restaurants/menus are a mash-up of lower Southeast Asia cuisine. Not necessarily Chinese. Hell…most “Chinese” restaurants are ran by other Asian groups.
I’m just trying to keep you guys from missing out on some good bulk food,Lanky. That’s all.
Hibachi chicken > Shrimp Friend crap.
Take a trip to NYC. Go to a top rated open kitchen in Chinatown. Prepare to never eat Chinese food from anywhere else again.

If you want to sound like a fool. Noting something like the difference between McDonald’s cheeseburger and Five Guy’s cheeeseburger would make more sense and be more applicable than what you stated.
No way is “presentation” the only difference between buffet-style Chinese restaurants and actual Chinese cuisine restaurants. BUT presentation is a big deal for some…and you can’t get too much variation of that at a buffet. I mean…what’s greater presentation than having a whole roasted pig or duck snarling at you at your table?..lol.
