thoughts?
the fish is,
ofcourse i’m sure cooked fish is slightly easier to digest but whatever, that doesn’t matter.
If rice is part of your diet then yea, it’s healthy.
Depends on what you mean by sushi. The normal stuff, rolls (that aren’t fried) can be very good since they have some good vegetables. Sashimi, just raw fish, is a good protein. The rice could be considered the weakness in nigiri (and some rolls), but if you aren’t worried about the carbs, eat it.
Now, the fried stuff, even though it is much better than KFC, is still something to limit.
It’s good, it’s pretty good for you.
Monitor your portion size if cutting, if you’re bulking…eat the store outta business.

I would eat myself out of business before I got the store closed. I always leave sushi places much poorer, yet hungrier, than when I went in.
I could eat it every day. Fatty tuna, salmon and eel are my favorites. Most suchi is good for you too, which is a plus.

If you’re in Boston, head over to Shino Express on Newbury St. Cheap as hell and really good. I could stuff myself with $20 there.

If you’re not doing rice, sashimi will still work.
Also, if you have any reason to think that your liver might be in less than excellent condition, then you may want to skip raw fish.

I love the Unagi (fresh water eel), yellow tail tuna, squid, salmon and spicy tuna. Squid salad and spicy squid (think mongolian beef without the rice noodles) are a good change of pace. There are a couple places here that have all you can eat for $20.
Good times…

I’m a T-ride away! Thanks for the info; the wife loves sushi and I’ve been wanting to take her since we moved here.
It’s sure more healthy than many other alternatives to eating out. I’ll pick sushi over almost anything.
The fast carbs from the rice can be a boon if it’s the post workout meal, particularly while bulking. The seaweed and fish are good sources of minerals as well. Sushi is good.
I inhale sushi by the pound, and Im not kidding either. Mmmmmm, I think you just decided by dinner choice for me.

If you are ever in Santa Barbara, you must go to Arigato. By far the best fish, sauces, service, etc. I will be there in approximately 8 hours!

Thanks for the tip. I’m there next weekend!

I hear you about the poorer part, but hungrier?
I guess maybe, if you were maybe only eating straight cucumber rolls or asparagus rolls, then maybe you could leave without feeling properly full.
But I just don’t see how it’s possible provided you get your fair share of satiating protein and fats from salmon, yellowtail, tuna, albacore and whatever else is superfresh that day.

Wow, close to home people. Is Arigato the one on State street the other side of Somethings Fishy?
