Hello everyone,
Before digging into my problem, I’d like to address that I am no more than an amateur bodybuilder that started training a year ago. I tried to find the cause and the cure for my pain, however, I was unable to, which eventually led me to create this post.
Story:
For the past couple of months, I’ve been experiencing a weird, dull pain next to my right scapula. At first, it wasn’t really big of a pain so I ignored it, thinking it was just an inflamed muscle. Later on, it was getting worse and worse, so I went to my doctor that simply said “Rest and lubricate the area with Voltaren gel”. I did that for the past month, no training, and quite a lot of rest, and that led me next to nothing. I still get the pain from just riding a bike for 5-10 minutes. I also tried a muscle massage, but no help from that either.
Pain occurrence:
- Doing any type of work that puts my body in a straight posture
- While my shoulders are raised and forward
- On touch (this wasn’t an issue before the pain got worse)
The pain varies all the time, and the feeling of the pain is mostly dull, but when my body is warmed up (ie. while training), and when it starts cooling down I can feel the pain the most, and it becomes a burning pain instead of the dull one, something like really hot shivers in that particular spot (see pics below).
Don’t know if I missed anything, feel free to question more and post anything that might help.
Here are some pictures of the area where the pain is at:
