Unexpected Constant Weight Gain During Cut

How much heavier were you as fat than you are now? Because your abs look gantastic, like there is no excess skin hanging about inhibiting your physique.

Thanks. I competed (avi pic) at ~183#. At my heaviest I was in the 275 range–don’t know the exact number as I wasn’t real keen on weighing myself at the time.

As for loose skin, I am pretty fortunate in that regard. When I was avi-lean (I’m sitting at 209 right now), there was some periumbilical skin that was loose, but it wasn’t too much and wasn’t too obvious. Loose skin not an issue at the moment (it’s a prob I wouldn’t mind having back). :slightly_frowning_face:

Thanks for your reply. I was 210# at my heaviest, and 155# at my lightest as I was just desperately chasing abs. They never showed. At 165# I came pretty close, but just blew up to 180# during the last 14 days so I’ll have to spend 4-6 weeks cleaning that up (I was sick and stressed and just ate everything). I’m guessing at my height, I can probably sport abs at 190#, I’ll just have to move towards that slowly over the next 6 months or year. I asked, because the more I’ve asked about this, the more I’ve come to learn I have to get heavier to look better >_<

Glad to have you back posting!

Forgive me for my unintended pride but I really have nothing else to do due to university material being quite easy for me. Plus I work at fogo de chao, a Brazilian steakhouse, so walking back and for me is a second nature. Also, I do track everything with a scale and since Now I’m doing Omad due to my paranoia, it’s surprising to see that in one meal you can list a ton of foods but come to the lowmid 2000’s cal max. Well at least for me…

Here’s the irony, all my life I was fat then got really low body fat to the point where my veins were making me feel uncomfortable as they were pushing against my skin. But then after that whole aforementioned period of time, it looks like the exact opposite , I’m actually doing more energy wise And eating less but gaining more weight?

Seriously? Come on now.
You work at a restaurant. I can guarantee you’re eating stuff from there, and unless you’re bringing a scale with you to work, and the menus have EVERY LAST CALORIE factored into the nutrition info, it’s safe to say that you’re eating more food, which is prompting weight gain.

Restaurants are notorious for serving dishes that are jam packed with sugar, salt, and fats, all while completely disregarding ā€œnormalā€ portion sizes.

Outside of a buffet I’ve never been served a big meal at a restaurant. A pub sure. But, I can tell from the sheen of what I’m served that there’s a lot of added fat. And if I was cooking to convert a guest to a repeat customer keeping the calories down would be a very small concern unless that’s the pitch of the restaurant.

Ever been to 'Murica?

@planetcybertron is spot on the money for many an American restaurant.

I genuinely feel bad for people like that…I know it’s usually always the results of their own bad choices but I mean jeez…when you get to the point where you can’t even find your own dick I imagine you’ve just gotta feel hopeless and stuck.

Yep. I have a number of pts in similar shape. They are miserable, and they die young.

Yeah, and then you ballooned out because it wasn’t sustainable.

As a man, 130lbs at your height is not healthy, neither is rapidly putting on anohter 50 ina few months

I’m not interested in committing a felony or crime of stealing. Thanks

For sure. It’s an addiction and a disease state rolled together. Then you also have the whole ā€œfood is necessary to liveā€ inconvenience, so breaking the addiction is very difficult.

What the hell does that have to do with anything I said?

No one said anything about stealing. You make money. Correct? Don’t kid around dude. It’s fairly easy to just buy some food on your break(s). Don’t know how you went straight to the assumption of stealing.

Run through high volume programs off this site. You will get stronger and lean out at the same time…

No. just learn to eat normally/3 square meals a day/like an adult. Look up some Beradi articles.

Yeah walk to work but stop the rest of it, thats retarded.
If you have so much time learn a language/ read 20 books on business and building wealth/ volunteer to help frontline health workers etc etc

If I walked 25 miles a day I might gain 5 pounds from swelling in my feet.

And I don’t know where you’re getting the assumption that everyone behaves this way during break or with food

I wasn’t referencing ā€œeveryoneā€. I was talking to you. My assumption is about you. And since you’re not being truthful and transparent about how much food you’re eating, I’d wager it’s an accurate assumption. Even if you’re not specifically eating food from your job, you’re still eating a lot more food than you think. Or are willing to admit at least.

I’m not sure you are necessarily able to assume something about someone. That’s just bound to be flawed and incorrect because you wouldn’t have the slightest clue as to who someone really is/does. That’s why there’s facts and assumptions. I use MFP which logs facts
