funny how a lot of guys n gals who spend their time lifting weights were never the athletes at school.
I always say it’s because athletes play sports, while non-athletes do the things that athletes do to get READY to play sports.
That may be a factor, but I also wonder if being natrually good at sports and not needing to grind to improve is also a factor for whether natural athletes like the gym or not. I know plenty of people who are very good at sports but couldn’t maintain a gym program for love nor money.
Oh well yeah, of course. That’s the thing: the game is the fun part. The training isn’t. Natural athletes like playing the game: they like doing fun things. Hell, all of us do. But for those that aren’t natural, the only way they get to have fun is if they do the hard stuff.
Mark Henry, apparently, would NOT train at the Olympic training center. Dude was raw strength talent: didn’t like training.
How about a YoY January comparison. I’ve participated every year we’ve done this and this will be the first January, I think I look different.
I liked it how it’s been. But it sounds interesting the direction its going. Either way I’ll be taking part!
Not alone at all. I love seeing the goals and different ways to skin a cat come together. Keeps things fun, who changed the most? Not just best bulk or cut.
I’m with @TrainForPain on the competition side too. I’ll probably never be the winner, but my competitive side loves that I am in the game.
