I’m super excited that it’s going to be a go, in whatever form it takes.
Great thoughts!
@EmilyQ definitely appreciate where you’re coming from (since it is so time-consuming). I will say, just looking at my own personality, anything short of a competition with some stake (even if I don’t care about the stake) just won’t do it for me.
@T3hPwnisher I honestly think that would be the most valuable outcome of the whole thing, but we can’t get anyone to play. I don’t know how to help encourage someone into that. Maybe we can’t.
I’ve said it before but I’ll just throw it out there again, I’m here to help make this thing happen in any capacity that I may be useful.
I’ll also throw in a free consult again, but maybe to the least transformed instead of the winner?? Or both??
That makes a lot of sense
@T3hPwnisher I’d be down for a Bruce Randall attempt again lol
What about a program option for people who aren’t sure what to do for the 5 months.
Bulk - Do X program followed by Y
Lean out - Do Z
Would be cool to see how people go if they let someone else pick the path.
I am in as always, not sure what I will be doing at the start of the year yet. Might be time to get stronger again.
The idea of simultaneously running a program with others who have the same goals appeals to me. Rather, the idea will appeal to me once I figure out what those goals are.
Like this idea…particularly if it comes with a surplus/deficit plan to get big then cut out the extra blubber. Interesting study if many were doing the same, if nothing else.
Just saying, January IS world carnivore month, if people are wanting to jump into a new nutrition protocol to kickstart the challenge…
How are you all thinking this would work? It seems we love the T-ransformation, so I don’t want to totally overhaul something that works.
Maybe it’s still: T-ransformation for the win.
As part of submission, you call out your goals (as usual), but you can optionally tell us how you’re going to get there; if you just want to join someone, just wait and see what pops up.
We whittle that down to the top couple plans for a lean goal and same for bulk.
I’ll create a couple tags and “tribes” can form around the disparate plans.
What are the thoughts there?
Maybe serves the quad-purpose of:
- Delivering on the challenge
- Creating non-competitive teams
- Fulfilling the support criteria without an MVP
- Getting at least a start on “least transformed” by giving a plan
I like the t-transformation and these tweaks seem interesting. I don’t know if I’ll jump in like I did last time…but I’ll definitely be supporting it for sure.
I agree. I think still having the main emphasis be on a before and after picture is the way to go, to keep the spirit of the contest alive.
I almost think something like “T- Goals” or similar could be a separate thread.
Not thinking of changing the transformation at all. Just thinking that there may be people who want to take part but have trouble knowing what to do. Maybe the best was is to just offer to those people that if they ask for a program or diet advise, we can give them a program or plan to follow.
Just jump in anyway. You get to track how you go, sty accountable and give and receive help with like minded people along the way. There really is no downside.
Why not, as a whole team experiment, see how much collective mass we can gain/lose/PR
You’ll get picked last…
Take that, baseline.
Keep the ponderings coming, folks! I’ll throw up a warning order later this weekend!
We could shoot for the highest score on @EmilyQ’s 1-5 rating system while trying to achieve a total gain/loss of 0kg, collectively. T-recompformation.
Name needs some workshopping.
I think having a team competition for cut and bulk with programs to follow (like programming parties on Reddit) is pretty cool. There could also be a best individual cut/bulk winner
I’m willing to help crunch numbers if you need help to make something like that work!
that would be the first time @kleinhound has been picked last for anything. LOL
