Lift like an asshole (ahmisa be damned).
Alright, folks, we transformed about a month ago, and entered our new phase of conquering, how’s everyone doing??
Still working on moving the scale down. More fat to lose! My progress is painfully slow and I am having serious temptations to try keto or carnivore to get the jiggles to go away, ideally, a bit faster.
On a positive note, I bought a bikini to wear at the lake 4th of July weekend. This is after asking my hubby if I could pull it off, and he said, “You can, you have a bikini body. Keep up the good work.”
Nice motivation boost!
That’s an outstanding compliment right there!
One of us!
Slightly off-topic of the title of the thread but @T3hPwnisher how does one go carnivore on an extremely tight budget at the moment? Once my reassignment goes through, I should be OK financially but, even then, most of my meals on the go and by on the go I mean liquid. I don’t think it’s possible.
I don’t want to consume this thread with all things carnivore, and I’ll say if you want me to go deeper feel free to post on my training log, but carnivore is VERY budget friendly because of all the food you AREN’T buying/wasting when you eat that way. Think of all the things you consume that are plants, to include coffees, teas, seasonings, spices, etc, aside from just the obvious fruits and vegetables. You won’t be buying any of that. Beyond that, you will most likely find yourself eating far less food than before, as carnivore tends to be VERY satiating. I went from eating something every 30 minutes to being able to fast for a full day painlessly once I became fat adapted. It’s honestly pretty wild.
Ground beef is a common low cost staple for carnivores, and you can get the “cheap stuff” because the higher fat content actually tends to work in favor of a carnivore diet. You can also get brisket for pretty cheap at costco and grind it into burgers.
Not great unfortunately
hitting hard plateau in lifting. Hoping its a temporary blip.
Weight is also up but within range
I had a neurotic freakout this morning over disruptions to my diet and training, but have calmed myself. In general, though, it’s been fantastic. Weight is not budging at the moment, but I’m considering the next leg of the journey currently. Will implement after vacation, which starts…well, now, though I’m at the hair salon. But done with work until 7/8.
Injuries healing. Closing in on end-of-month BW goal of 150 lbs. Focusing on conditioning vs strength (4 days + 3 days) until the August check-in.
I really appreciate the check in… it makes me feel like this again:
Last week, I went on a fishing trip, ate more, walked less, and came home to Ohio four pounds lighter.
Weight loss is voodoo.
Due to travel, I’m shooting for roughly maintaining my weight and strength, lifting when I can, between now and August. Afterwards, I hope everyone is still around to help me get as yoked as possible at…46 years old. Geesh.
Damn right! You wear that with pride because you earned it!
I’m sorry to hear that. What’s going on? I believe you have a coach - are you confident in the go-forward plan?
That is awesome! There will definitely be moments it’s not where we want it, but everything has been trending the right direction for you - I’m glad to see you’re still feeling that.
Enjoy vacation!
Both big wins! I hope you’re 100% soon.
And that’s why we’re here!
But mostly that.
Did I know you’re in OH? Whereabouts?
Doing pretty good. Continuing to cut through July. Think I’ve lost some fat around lower stomach area and hips since update at end of May.
Not sure…… it’s a pattern with my training. 2 steps forward, 2 to 2.5 steps back.
I’ve been struggling with lockout. Coach thinks it could be foot placement. He fixed my hip shift so fingers crossed he can fix this
When you haven’t seen your mom in three months and she hits you with this text a few days after a quick visit…
Gotta love mom’s compliments lmao. One time mine hit me with “your traps make you look disfigured”
A compliment only a mother can give!
Just come back from a 3 week vacation visiting family in the UK and then 10 days relaxing in Spain. Starting a new strength block now focused on strongman for the next few months and will then transition into powerlifting for the end of the year.
Some recent blood tests have meant I need to look a little more closely at my diet and tidy things up a little over the next few months. Nothing too serious just some high cholesterol that could ideally be a little lower.
Noticed that my conditioning is lacking lately so with training strongman focused, there will be plenty of puke inducing Saturday and Tuesday sessions to come.
Fatsique update
Weight 91.1KG - bang on 200lbs
Not bad considering I had three weeks vacation with too much eating.
Looking solid
