(Un)Official 2023 T-ransformation Challenge

Years ago when I was doing my first “bulk” (I use that term loosely because I had no idea wtf I was doing except eating everything to put on size - recommended by a bigger dude at the time) I used waaayyy too much heavy cream in my coffee. Put on weight REAL FAST, just not GOOD weight, haha. It’s so good though!

It is so good! And in fairness to heavy cream, I was consuming copious amounts while in the best shape of my life about 22 months ago.
I also had a TON more time and energy to train… and ate almost zero carbs… hmm…

Just saying…the precedent is there. That whole article is worth reading, alongside many other things on that site.

Blair must not know the composition of human breast milk. It’s way more carbs and fat than protein if I recall. I remember having a discussion about it at the gym when the stories came out about bodybuilders buying human milk.

You gotta cut him some slack: he was literally one of the first people to make and sell a protein powder, alongside Bob Hoffman. And people actually LIKED what Rheo made, haha.

My wife still has some breast milk in the freezer. She refuses to throw it out.

It’s been sitting in there for 4 years

Its the “first milk” or colostrum that is supposed to have super powers.

Our daughter is 6, and we still have it in the freezer. It’s probably got the nutritional value of dish detergent by now, but it remains in the freezer nonetheless.

Really, I’m not seeing the big deal about human breast milk. All that stuff does is grow humans.

I wanna drink the milk that is making THIS

Careful… you’re going to give those vegetarian lifters hope. All he eats is grass and look!

What’s happening y’all? Since this is my first intentional cut, I’m curios to see some opinions on my plan of attack/current methods. I started at roughly 182lbs roughly 3 weeks ago. This is coming up on the end of the 3rd week and I’m sitting at 174.6 (as of this morning). I know majority of this weight is water since I’ve switched a low carb approach (curious to see how I feel on it). My main question is if my energy levels, lifting sessions, and overall attitude isn’t impacted by the calorie reduction but I am looking slight leaner, would this mean I’ve found the right amount to eat for this part of the cut? Is there anything else I need to watch out for?

Also, I not really using the scale to track my progress. I’m using it more as a way to make sure I’m heading in the right direction.

Probably!

Progress stopping.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with using the scale. It’s nice to have an objective measurement.

At some point, you’ll stop getting stronger and your sessions will become a grind. I think it makes a ton of sense to have a few “indicator” exercises that you just make sure you’re not getting a lot weaker on (you might lose a little because you’re tired and your leverages are changing, but it shouldn’t be crazy and even then it should only happen when you’re near the end). As long as you aren’t consistently getting much weaker, and you are losing weight, you’re at the right calories. When one of those things changes, you can adjust. That keeps it relatively simple.

Honestly the only reason I’m not using it primarily is just because of how wrestling season got me lmao. Trying to avoid that like the plague.

Thanks!

You’re not a teenager are you? I don’t really want to encourage a teenager to “cut”.

I am (19). Not cutting hard at all. Only plan on finishing out this 6 week period (3 more left) to get a tad bit leaner and then jump back into a “bulk”. More of making room to gain more

Come to think of it “cut” is probably a little disingenuous. More of taking a break from all the eating I was doing to finish out a gaining phase and focusing more on building better eating habits while dropping a little body fat. Not looking to get super lean

Perfect! Sounds like a plan. These are the prime years for habits and growth, so it sounds like you’re well on it.
