@TrainForPain Yep, they are all good now! We have a blood disorder that runs in our family (my side) and it causes anemia, but sometimes they get very anemic (often triggered by illness) so two of them had to get blood transfusions.
Once is good, if you do two this week you have doubled your output. You have got this mate.
Thanks mate
This is where the gold lies. I have been craving snacks like hungry wolf this week. But thanks to Greek yogurt I got though without destroying the macros.
Scale showed 212.3lb this morning, so I’m down almost 3lbs in a week (deficit numbers confirm this isn’t just glycogen depletion) and my lower abs are threatening to make an appearance for the 2nd time ever in my life.
The woman is trying to talk me into purchasing a Reverse Hyper machine and I’m holding it hostage… ransom note says “clear out the junk in the garage and we’ll talk about getting a Reverse Hyper”.
She didn’t read the first part, but she will (i think).
Sounds like all things are going well in the upside-down land; your post has made me want to adopt some strongman equipment in the future so i can flex on the neighbors too.
Why not meet in the middle and sink some Jaeger bombs
I love the check-ins! Let’s keep this going, team. Looking for 58 solid “afters”. Or 57 + mine is still acceptable.
I need to get my act together or I could be the most transformed, but in the wrong direction ![]()
Don’t worry, I think pwn has a prize for the person who gains the most weight
Thanks, I should do better now the Christmas food has finally gone
Just last place. No one bit on the Bruce Randall comp
Weighed in about 7 lbs down yesterday (post morning workout and about 2 liters of water in). Pulled into the last notch on my belt this morning.
So I think it’s going well so far. Strength seems to be staying around or getting better (I hit 3 strict pull-ups at full BW for the first time last week).
I am also enjoying my approach to training right now. I have it narrowed down to “do a bunch of crap that stimulates many muscles at once” rest/walk/repeat.
Need to pick up the ceiling mount for my new gymnast rings.
Bad memories have awoken.
To many of these in college (and Irish car bombs which are even crazier).
Man, I wasted so much time in undergraduate school.
Fair enough about the metaphor–maybe I needed a nap, too.
The message is absolutely on point.
I’m up 3lbs since the beginning of this challenge AND restarting creatine. Carrying water weight is my greatest gift.
Hell yeah!
I’m down about 4 lbs; if I lose another 4 more, that’s going to be my stopping point to figure out what the heck my maintenance intake should look like and focus on fueling for performance. Noticing some physical changes (slight improvements in definition if I squint), nothing huge.
What I’m focusing on that is most positive for me is how I’m starting to look forward to going to the gym again vice it being a chore.
Let me know when you get to this point and I’ll help you set up the “life plan” if you’d like!
Down about 4lbs. Looking leaner, might be the Creatine causing some muscles to swell from water retention. Trying to count macros for the first time in many years, so far it looks like it’s working out, and still managing to eat a lot more than I did on my big weight drop.
I would definitely appreciate some guidance!
Great progress here. Veins in my hamstrings today, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that before.
