Send me your befores, good sir
I remember my mom and I got into it a little bit (intense banter), because she brought home canned chicken for the first time, and I thought she was playing a very well thought out joke on me.
I saw the label and everything, and just couldn’t get past the texture both visually and physically. She’s over there laughing to tears, and I’m angry and confused just going, “It’s not funny! Why does this tuna taste like this?!?!”
Canned tuna is fine, I usually eat 2 cans a day at that moment but canned chicken is just revolting!
Heh, I wasn’t saying the message itself was rubbish. Trying to create a metaphor with a flash game I used to play 20 years ago in IT lessons though, ambitious at best.
The world’s weird man. In the West if you have chicken for breakfast people will call you crazy. Somehow having pork in the form of sausages or bacon with eggs is absolutely fine.
If you can buy your bockwurst in a jar and nobody cares, why not chicken in a can? You do you.
I have chicken in my scrambled egg sometimes at work for my 10 o’clock snack and people say it’s strange.
If it was a chicken sausage or pork sausage they wouldn’t bat an eye!!!
Yeah our cultural diet peculiarities are weird!
FWIW, I tried uploading on firefox and couldnt do it on mobile or the PC. I eventually got it working on Chrome. See my log (warning: its not pretty):
Thats a great “before”.
Where do you buy it that it tastes bad?
Can only buy it at Asda around where I live and it’s not nice. Wish it was but I eat tuna instead.
Taste or just the idea of it? I find it alright once you get over the fact it is in a can.
They use chicken breast? Thats all I have ever found.
I’ve not actually checked what chicken meat it was to be honest. Just tried and it and for the money and the taste just stuck with canned tuna.
Might have to see if I can get it from somewhere else to see if it’s any different. I usually shop at aldi but not seen it there.
How is everyone’s progress going. First week back in the gym for me and it’s been pretty good. 3 gym sessions done, 4 conditioning sessions done (well one more to do later but that is a given).
Picked up some new strongman kit this week to give me more options for the conditioning work.
Started the week post holiday at 92kg, finished it at 90kg. Always nice to get that quick first week weight drop.
No looking back now
Nicely done man!
I’m honestly doing a crappy job. I’ve not been disciplined diet-wise, which is not the path to success.
You have identified the problem, fixing that is easy.
Some of us get on the first step of the 12 step program and just ride that motherf**ker like it’s a stairmaster.
My family got sick, two of my kids had to go to the hospital, and I put away two packs of Oreos. So a solid start. Oh and I have worked out once.
At least there’s always T-ransformation 2024!
That’s terrifying. Are your children ok?
