Ultimate Fighter: Rampage vs Rashad

chinctown34, what? You really think Kimbo is gonna drop it in the first round? No, if Kimbo loses it’s most likely by decision OR some how country gravy locks in a sub.
Sorry, that wasn’t very clear. By finish I meant submission or GnP. I’m not impressed with Kimbo’s punching power or chin either, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he got knocked out.

i think the worst fight in mma history happened on the latest tuf episode… the nfl guy versus the flying high kick off the fence guy… ive never seen two people rest on opposite ends of the octagon, when the fight is actually going on.

sad.

It definitely wasn’t the worst. They may have been gassed, but at least they were swinging. I’ve seen matches where both fighters want to play patty cake.

it was a horrible fight on both of them. the big guy should have won. rashad’s number 1 pick was just horrible. if i was either coach i would be pissed

adarqui, I completely agree.

Oh, I just remembered the guillotine McSweeney had on Shivers…which Shivers got out of, of course. Lasting impressions are a bitch. Should have gone a third…then it would have gone to whoever didn’t fall asleep first!

Yeah, I’ve gotta agree with you guys. I was sure that it was either going to be a decision for Shivers, or it was going a third round. Who the hell was judging that fight?
I think the decision was exceptionally based on how MUCH Shivers sucked! He and the other dude that lost last week looked as if they took one of those “kickboxing” classes at Gold’s gym and thought they could fight, no striking technique, no ground game and ABSOLUTELY ZERO CONDITIONING! WTF!!! Two of the worst fights I’ve ever seen. McSweeny sucked big time too, but at least with him you could see he’s got some knowledge, but ZERO conditioning as well.

I’m rooting for Kimbo on the next fight, but Fat Roy is definitely MUCH more well-rounded.

Kimbo got caught, once, how does that call his chin into question? Everyone’s been caught.

yep. Caught by a b-level LHW throwing a jab while falling backward.

the hype surrounding Kimbo made me dvr this season. i like watching UFC fights, usually don’t watch much but the finale for TUF. But next week is what everyone is waiting for no matter what camp your in. You either want to see Kimbo go down like a bitch, or see him stomp the shit out of someone. I’ve seen a few of Kimbo’s fights on youtube, i’m not a huge fan, but i’d like to see him in the UFC if he’s able to get his shit together. He does look like a scary mother, i wouldn’t fuck with him.

Kimbo fell forward, Seth had his back to the cage. It also wasn’t a knockout, watch the fight 86 times before you talk about it please.

Fine, Kimbo doesn’t have a weak chin. It won’t matter because he has zero ground game and Roy Nelson is going to get an easy sub. Don’t get me wrong, I am like Kimbo and am rooting for him to knockout Roy. He just doesn’t have much of a skill set nor any considerable ring experience.

Glad you’re rooting for him, Roy is was to cocky.

when does a fighter get ring experience?

when does a fighter get considerable skill?

Look up the word “relative” and then take a peek at Roy’s record.

ok you win. That was a punishing shot thrown by a real slugger and kimbo brushed it off like it was nothing. He’s got a chin of fucking granite.

Oh, I see what you’re saying. I guess people should learn how to communicate via the internet… you mean to say Roy has MORE experience then Kimbo, not that Kimbo doesn’t have any experience. I’m glad DickHickey could clear this up for me.

It’s also not saying that Kimbo doesn’t have ANY skill, it’s just he’s not good at ALL fighting skills, okay…makes sense.

Watching that fight last night, all I could think is that Brock would demolish either of those guys. Even in his longer fights, he NEVER gasses like that. And Shivers’ striking looked sad and out of control. I expected more from that guy. Decision was BS, I thought, no way he lost both rounds. Either way, you put one of those guys against Brock, and they go home in a bag. And I am no Brock lover. I can’t wait to see someone smash his huge melon. It just won’t be one of those dudes.

I was really excited when Dana White was making it an all heavyweight TUF. Its obvious to everyone that the heavyweight devision is the weakest class in the UFC and needed more good fighters. Unfortunately what i’ve seen so far is far from impressive. On the other hand it is making me appritiate Brock much more.

I’d like to see some guys like Overeem and Fedor make their way to the UFC, but outside those two and maybe a few others I don’t think there’s a lot out there right now that can strengthen the division save a new generation of real fighters. The last time I watched James McSweeney he was mauled by Mustapha Al Turk, who is not exactly a title contender in the UFC. Roy Nelson is good at smothering people on the ground, not much else… Kimbo, Wes Sims, Marcus Jones… it’s kind of a freakshow. Good TV, hardly going to change the face of MMA. That’s how TUF has always been, save the first few seasons where some good unscouted talent made it to the show.

Since the show is edited i think there are very few coaching situations that are televised. At any rate
any guy with ring knowlege can give tips that u can’t actually see from inside. That said, Rampage may not be
as un-intelligent as he seems, since I could see the dive going for his mans lower torso before it happened twice. A statue could have uppercut that guy!

Maybe I missed it,but are they having to make weight before the fights? Like all previous TUF seasons have done so…??

only the guys over 270 or whatever…
