I’m happy Mcsweeney got his block knocked off, he was an okay fight but HUGE tool. Schaub SHOULD take it in the finale but you never know with all the tricks Nelson has in that belly of his. Mitrione is in the finale because like Dana said, he can punch, the dude has a rocket on him and all he has to do is become more aggressive in the cage and he’ll be able to use it to his advantage.
good season finale, at least compared to the season. i FFed all the shit talking though, and just watched the fights. i thought everyone looked good, even the guys that lost. seemed kinda like everyone fought up to their level of competition…
Also, I thought it was hilarious when Big Baby was just absolutely losing his shit on Mitrione and Mitrione (and everyone else) had no idea what was going on.
I was impressed with Schaub getting that big sum’bitch Jones off him…and then smashing him. That there was the fight of the season…hands down. Jones better work on his stand-up…everything else is there.
And LOL @ McSweeney. Glad to see his arrogance get smothered(literally) by Nelson…especially after taunting him. It was hard to root for Mitrione in his fight…but I can root for a moron before I could a cocky weasel like McSweeney. Mitrione has talent to grow and compete…just not the mental aptitude,imo.
It’s going to be interesting to see how all these guys have progressed since the filming of the show. They have had the time to prepare and work on weaknesses…I expect them to bring it this weekend. And who else thinks Kimbo is going to get the “two-piece” from Houston Alexander??

When The Darkness was getting lit up, he looked like George Foreman when Ali was starting to beat his ass. They just stick out their paws to stop the punches and they look funny.

Great fights last night. I’m glad Roy beat McSweeney. When Roy got on top on McSweeney and started pounding on him, it was hilarious trying to watch McSweeney try to get out. It was like a car fell on him, and only his legs were moving. Roy had him pinned pretty good.
Marcus is legit. He dominated Schoonover and had Brendan in a good position. But props to Brendan. When Marcus got in full mount, I thought it was a wrap for Schaub, but his ability to get Marcus off of him and get back to his feet was impressive.
I thought Marcus was going to kill Matt in their altercation. Everyone was like WTF is wrong with Marcus? That’s the wrong guy to make mad.
And as much as I like Rampage and Rashad, I’m glad their bickering on the show is over. It got really old really quick.
Seemed like some guys got more airtime than others on the show. Didn’t see a lot of Demico and Abe after their fights.
I wasn’t too impressed with Schaub in his first two fights, but he did a pretty damn good job against Marcus. I just hope that he wins out over Big Country. I just can’t stand Nelson.
Is it just me, or does anyone else dislike Big Country? I liked him coming in to the season, now I think he’s a douche. I kind of want him to get crushed by someone like Carwin when he gets into the UFC.

personally I love the guy. That first episode where they bring in kimbo slice as the “surprise” , nelson comments on how he thought he was the big mystery fighter. Haha, that is just priceless. Furthermore, they probably edit him to look like a retard and a horrible fighter.
After watching the parts of the last episode that I missed, I’m honestly not sure whether Wes Sims or James is the bigger prick.

Wren would give Schaub a run for his money in all areas…EXCEPT on the feet. Maybe with BJJ…but Wren does train at Travis Lutter’s gym…so his BJJ has to be decent. Anyways,he needs to work on his striking/footwork(which also affected him expending too much energy). He looked like he was playing those how-hard-can-you-punch arcade games with all the arm punching and haymakers.
He pissed me off with that shit…as I think he easily could have been in the finale. But I think Justin will be one of those guys who will still get a shot and succeed in the UFC…especially with his youth and work ethic.

Yeah, not really a big fan of the “belly-smother” technique. Just like the Kimbo fight, he just flops that gut on the guy’s face. It must be like drowning in smelly jello.
i’ve seen roy fight in the IFL before it shutdown and had a lot of respect for him, but now and the way
he fought thru out the season not anymore and what a shame hope the other guy kicks ass or fatass.
I think I shall henceforth refer to him as Roy “The Belly” Nelson.
