LMFAO!

Sucks Madsen lost, I like the guy. Good control in the first round, he won that round. Brendan used the cage ALOT. Most of anyone I’ve seen. When Madsen started gassing with 4 min left in round 2, I knew Brendan would catch him, and sure enough he did.

Meathead is something else, he needs to not fight. And Kimbo is hurt, so he doesn’t need to either. It was pretty funny though with him sitting in the ice bath and everyone laughing at him.

I didn’t think it was fair on Rashad’s part to not help Brendan on takedown defense, but to help Jon with some moves. Didn’t think that was fair. Either he helps both or helps neither.

Dana wearing a Pride shirt = win.

Madsen did NOTHING from the top. He at least could have thrown some knees or something if he couldn’t improve his position…instead he just laid there…I’m glad he got KTFO.
100& agree. Brendan had a good game plan

Yeah, he did like Rocky Vs. Clubber, let the bigger guy tire out, then knock his ass out. I enjoyed it. Is Brendan one of the former NFL guys?

He was on Bills practice squad and played in AFL for Utah Blaze.

So of the four former NFL guys, Marcus has the longest and most relevant experience.

I just read up on Brendan. Didn’t realize he was a Golden Gloves champ and 2008 Colorado Open Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Absolute Advanced Grand Champion. Legit.

Yep. Fight To Win Promotions held that event…and numerous MMA events in CO and TX. Their promoter is actually from TX but is based out of CO. He’s on my FB friends list…Seth Bregman. He’s pretty cool guy himself…knows Brendan,Elliot Marshall, and most other guys from Colorado MMA scene.

Abe Wagner also competed for same promotion.

Awesome, preciate the info. Every time on TUF they show a commercial of the gym Elliot Marshall trains out of. Also, found out that Nate Marquardt trains with the wrestling team up here at Univ. of Northern Colorado where I’m at, and Shane Carwin is a volunteer wrestling coach. Would be pretty sweet if Nate and/or Shane would come to our MMA practice, or if our squad could roll with the wrestling team one day.

Who ya got making it to the finals?

I’m hoping for Marcus Jones primarily for the slickness he showed in his ground game. Plus I don’t see ‘Titties’ doing well against him with the size difference, and considering his performance.
Roy Nelson is probably in the finals IMO. That experience factor is too much against this batch of competitors. There are a lot of diamonds in the rough, but almost none of the fights have impressed me (less than even previous TUF seasons).

I thought the fight shoulda gone a third round, but if anybody won it, it was justin. The 2nd round was a “clear win” for either.

As far as who should get mitrione’s spot, Junk just makes the most sense. You’re talking about the guy who f’ed mitrione up so bad that he had to (apparently) pull out, why should someone else reap the rewards of his action? I do hope Demico get’s a shot at the undercard for the finals tho, definitely deserving of another chance

3. Rampage completely disappoints me. What he did to Demico was completely unacceptable. You. Do. Not. Grope. A. Person. Ever. Had this had occurred outside the UFC house, he could had easily had his ass handed in court for harassment/inappropriate touching. I used to think of him as funny and humble, but he just turned out to be a classless, vulgar and inappropriate jackass.

And that is the problem with this country today, that this would be a court case. Let’s not overstate things here, this isn’t sexual assault.
No. That’s the great thing about this country, that you can face legal consequences for touching people, even among men, even if it isn’t sexual assault.

Besides, I didn’t say sexual assault. I said “harassment/inappropriate touching”. They might be similar but not the same. These have legal terms defined clearly enough to note a difference. More to the point, whether it was sexual assault, it is inconsequential.

You do not touch people against their will … ever, specially if you have the foresight (which is your obligation to have) to see that the receiver will not welcome it.

And being able to take someone to court for that is what makes this country great. I’ve seen what’s it’s like in other countries where you do not have that. It ain’t pretty. But we are digressing here - this topic deserves its own thread if anyone chose to talk about it.

I will say once again that Rampage should never have touched the man, that is was completely inappropriate, it is inexcusable in any context, and I will leave it at that.
KBCThird wrote:
Also, as far as “had it occurred outside the UFC house” - why would that make a difference? You’re not granted diplomatic immunity within the confines of UFC property
I didn’t say they should be granted some sort of diplomatic immunity when in the UFC property.

However, de jure =/= de facto. Shit like that would have unraveled very differently had it occurred outside the confines of UFC property - not because of UFC’s machinations mind you, but simply because Demico might have been enticed not to do anything else because he’s interested in seeing his stay in the competition to the very end, because there were other fighters who also understood that and quickly intervened.

Had it been outside of the UFC house, it would have turned out differently. You are free to disagree on that, and if my previous post gave the impression or was written in a way that implied they should have some sort of immunity inside the house, then that’s my bad. That is not what I intended to say, and I will leave it at that.

okay, either i missed Wednesday’s epidsode (and my DVR didn’t tape it, either), or they didn’t show one…am i losing it?

i am getting over the flu, os it’s not unreasonable for me to completely have spaced it off…

There wasn’t a new episode this week. Next week will be 2 hours and have all the remaining fights.

cool-thanks for the info!

glad to know that i’m not completely crazy…

Just saw episode 11 on mmacore and all I can say is WOW.

Holy shit! He chopped down that mother fucking beanstalk! Way to go!

Very impressed with Schaub.

Most shocking thing to me, though, is that Matt Mitrione gets to fight in the finale? Really? I thought we’d never hear from him again.

I guess you haven’t seen the finale like me. I won’t spoil it for you.

Spoiler alert (lol too late but I figured that was assumed in this thread once it’s happened)

I mean in the finale on Saturday, Mitrione vs Big Baby. Can’t believe they’re giving Matt a shot in the UFC after all that.

God dam Schaub and Big Country. I thought Big Baby was a shoe in. I could have seen Brendan making it in from the start, but Big Country managed to surprise. I think Schaub wins the finale. MMA Junkie also has schoonover and mcsweeney for the TUF Finale card.

I hope Schaub can beat Nelson, if he can knockout Marcus, he can definitely knock out Nelson.

Though I don’t know if anyone can defeat Nelson’s belly.
