Ultimate Fighter: Rampage vs Rashad

I’ve stopped watching the show, I dvr it so I just fast forward to the fights. The more I see of the WWE drama nonsense the less interested I am. Honestly I don’t give a fuck about these guy’s personal lives I just want to see them fight. I’m fucking over it.

that said marcus pulled off a slick ass armbar from the back when he couldn’t secure his hooks. I think his size is going to let him get away with a lot among this group. When he gets in there with someone legit though he’ll get TOOL’d HARD. Wish him the best of luck though he’s pretty much the only guy in the house I genuinely like from the clips…

Nice guy, doesn’t talk shit, just likes to be left alone, LOVES to learn, tries his hardest, kind of a crybaby but he just wears his heart on his sleeve can’t fault him for that. If the crybaby thing caused him to slack in the gym THEN it would be an issue. But it doesn’t. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo… Let him train his ass off and watch some lifetime movies, whatever gets him better.

  1. Marcus did an awesome job with that armbar, but man, someone needs to tell him zombie style is not a viable standup strategy in MMA, and that big, scary dudes like him shouldn’t squeal at the sight of a spider. Good guy, though, glad he won, and I hope he has a good future in MMA.

  2. People shouldn’t read too much into Kimbo raising his hands at the prospect of getting back in the game because someone got injured. Every other guy who lost, secretly or not, is wishing for another opportunity. I don’t think no one there (Kimbo included) really wants to see another fighter getting fucked up during training, but one cannot reasonably expect any of them not to jump with happiness at the opportunity. They are there for a reason, to bang and advance as much as possible in their fighting careers, make some money out of it and hopefully win a contract. That’s the context these things should be looked at from.

  3. Rampage completely disappoints me. What he did to Demico was completely unacceptable. You. Do. Not. Grope. A. Person. Ever. Had this had occurred outside the UFC house, he could had easily had his ass handed in court for harassment/inappropriate touching. I used to think of him as funny and humble, but he just turned out to be a classless, vulgar and inappropriate jackass.

Amazing Avatar, but Red Ranger is the man.

Actually he is quite the opposite. He is not selfish at all. He was going to pull out of the show but his wife refused to let him do that. You can link to his TUF10 blog at mikewessel.com

HHMMM don’t know about the decision. Justin def won the first round, but I didn’t see anything Roy did that he won the second round. If anything, I thought Justin won the fight, but it should have gone to a third round. No way Roy won that fight in two rounds.

We’ll see if Meathead can hold up. Hope he’s ok. Everyone keeps making the push for Kimbo. I’m sure the guys who lost all want a second chance, so I don’t know if they are just showing Kimbo pushing to come back and not everyone else. Junk made a plea to Dana to let him fight.

The chickens part was pretty funny, and even funnier that it backfired on Rampage and Tiki. That was pretty smooth by Rampage when he caught one of them cruising right past him.

It was pretty funny what Kimbo was saying about Justin and sneaking into the fridge to eat doughnuts haha.

That decision was bull. Wren won the first round easily. Roy clearly won the second with his counter-striking. Wren didn’t do shit in the 2nd. He was gassed. It should have definitely gone to a third round.

Another fight, another gassed fighter in the 2nd round.

To be fair to Justin, he was staying busy and moving around more. I think that’s why he got tired. He looked like he as trying to work on his boxing while Roy looked like a fat guy who didn’t want to move much, except straight back which is not a good defense. Even more so for a not real mobile or elusive guy. When they announced they had a decision I thought,“huh, they gave the second round to Justin. I would have sent it to a third round.” I did not expect Roy to win the decision.

Earlier in the thread I think someone who knows Madsen said he said he got caught. Must be next week against Schaub.

Justin Wren wasted too much energy getting pysched up…AND by throwing with reckless abandon. He wore himself out…and never got settled in.

It irritates me to see guys throwing fucking pitching-arm punches…yet they don’t during training.

Ya I’m pretty sure Schaub goes to the finals. In an interview a couple of months ago, he was asked if he did well on the show and he just kind of smiled in response.

Plus, he trains with Carwin so I’m sure he’s pretty prepared for anything the HW’s dish out.

This was the note from 155statechamp:

—One of my wrestling coaches is friends with Jon Madsen and apparently Madsen told him that he made it to the semis where he, in his words, ‘got caught’ and lost.—

So if he supposedly makes it to the semis, he beats Schaub and loses his next fight. But we’ll wait and see. I like both guys, it’s gonna be a good fight. Just remember to ask Madsen if you can have some of his OJ before drinking it.

Schaub sucks

I thought the fight shoulda gone a third round, but if anybody won it, it was justin. The 2nd round was a “clear win” for either.

As far as who should get mitrione’s spot, Junk just makes the most sense. You’re talking about the guy who f’ed mitrione up so bad that he had to (apparently) pull out, why should someone else reap the rewards of his action? I do hope Demico get’s a shot at the undercard for the finals tho, definitely deserving of another chance

And that is the problem with this country today, that this would be a court case. Let’s not overstate things here, this isn’t sexual assault.

Also, as far as “had it occurred outside the UFC house” - why would that make a difference? You’re not granted diplomatic immunity within the confines of UFC property

Dude, that was not a reckless pitching arm punch…that was a flying rearhand reverse counter takedown.
I’m shocked you didn’t see that.

How often do you get “shocked?”

I am so glad they had the chickens and other bullshit in last week’s episode. These fights are so fucking boring. I can’t believe nobody tried to take it to the ground especially when Justin was gassing. I was a little shocked with the decision but Roy is the better fighter even if he blew flabby chunks in the fight. Change the show’s name to TAF.

well, i definately thought that was a three rounder. i thought Wren got the first, and Roy the second. i watched the fight a couple times, and i think Roy landed about 10 times as many punches as Wren in the second. bad choice not for a third…

i would like to see Shivers or Junk come back fro Mitrone. both guys lost decisions, so i think they should be the first choices for canidates. Kimbo just keeps yapping about how he wants another fight, but after his abysmal showing vs Roy, i doubt there’s anyone he can beat, unless he gets a lucky knockout.

at least there was no “tiddies” talk this episode…

Well, I feel kind of stupid now. Guess he lost in the quarterfinals.

Sucks Madsen lost, I like the guy. Good control in the first round, he won that round. Brendan used the cage ALOT. Most of anyone I’ve seen. When Madsen started gassing with 4 min left in round 2, I knew Brendan would catch him, and sure enough he did.

Meathead is something else, he needs to not fight. And Kimbo is hurt, so he doesn’t need to either. It was pretty funny though with him sitting in the ice bath and everyone laughing at him.

I didn’t think it was fair on Rashad’s part to not help Brendan on takedown defense, but to help Jon with some moves. Didn’t think that was fair. Either he helps both or helps neither.

Dana wearing a Pride shirt = win.

Madsen did NOTHING from the top. He at least could have thrown some knees or something if he couldn’t improve his position…instead he just laid there…I’m glad he got KTFO.
