gracie by ar… no, wait.
gsp by g’n’p.

I think BJ will be in relatively very good shape for this, I think he wants it bad enough. My money is still on GSP though, because as much as I admire BJ, I like GSP’s style even more. It will be a damn good fight though!

I’ve seen BJ fight lyoto machida at 205 and NOT get his ass handed to him. After that I just can’t cheer against him on principle.

but my heart is with GSP… no homo.
Hah, that reminded me of something a swedish commentator, Paolo Roberto (former boxer) said about GSP. It was in swedish and I don’t remember the exact words, but it was something like this.

Paolo: I gotta hand it to the guy (GSP), not only can he fight like a god and has a killer tan, he looks good as well.

Other commentator: Wow Paolo, I’m kinda worried sitting this close to you now…

Paolo: Don’t be, you’re not good looking.

Trust me…a leg drop hurts on the receiving end. One of the many useless things I learned in pro wrestling school

I had to Google “leg drop”

Bj is choke GSP…bj is not impressed!

I tried to watch it on Spike but the show kept interupting the commericals for five minutes at a stretch.

BJ has a VERY good chance of winning. He has heavier hands, a monster chin, and one of the best ground games in the sport. When he is not fatigued he has arguably the best takedown defense in the sport.

Do I think his conditioning will be at a level that he can hang with GSP for 5 rounds? Nope, but I don’t know if GSP can avoid being stopped by BJ. If someone finishes the fight I think it will be BJ. If it goes to decision I think GSP will win. I’m still not sure who I’m picking.
sounds like youre picking penn! GO TEAM PENN!

Agreed.

I say GSP by TKO ground and pound in the third.

The difference in training is night and day.

BJ surrounds himself with yes men and determines the training schedule and pace.

GSP submits to his trainer and allows himself to be trained.

BJ is going to have a difficult time dealing with GSP’s strength and explosiveness. GSP’s take downs are a lot better than the last time they fought.

I don’t want to put to much stock in that primetime. If however that is the way BJ is training, he’s a deadman walking. All I see him doing is exercising his mouth.

BJ is the most naturally talented fighter I have ever seen. His talents shot him to the top. Now he’s just a waste of talent. As Dana said “He could be the absolute best, if he would take it seriously”. I totally agree.

GSP has made himself the absolute best. I believe he has the best training schedule and training partners. He knows he still has more to learn.

BJ thinks he knows it all. Maybe he does. One thing he doesn’t know, GSP is going to beat him so bad he’ll think he stole something.

Having said that, anything can happen. My heart goes to GSP.

GSP will win that one. Hopefully he can fight again at UFC 97 against Alves

Penn will lose. This is the biggest hyped mismatch in a long time.

 1. Strength-GSP by a lot, the dude does chins with a 90lb. weight.

 2. Stamina-GSP, you essentially have (one of)the worst vs (one of) the best when it comes to this category.

 3. Ground Skills-Penn, but only be a little.

 4. Striking-GSP (who also has the height and reach).

 5. Mental toughness-Too close to call

 6. Athletisism-GSP by a country mile.

GSP will win it’s only a matter of picking the round. I’ll say that Penn won’t see the third round. Those who want Penn…save your money.
It is far from a mismatch

 1. Yep, GSP is stronger. I can do chins with 90 additional lbs. BJ would still kick my ass.
 2. True, Stamina goes to GSP.
 3. Nope, Penn by a lot. BJJ world champ. GSP couldn’t pass his guard last time and Penn was gassed.
 4. Nope, Penn again. He has much heavier hands and beat the shit out of GSP standing last time. Yes GSP tooled Fitch standing but last time I checked nobody was comparing Jon Fitch to Anderson Silva.
 5. BJ, by a long shot. Georges needs a sports psychologist. BJ has the confidence that he can beat anyone. Advantage: BJ
 6. Yep, Georges is more athletic

Looks like 3 to 3 to me. Like I said earlier this is a very close fight.

BJ’s got a …baby?

wtf is he thinking?

One more week until BJ gets Arlovski’d!
