I’m looking for this to be a war. I do believe BJ is primed to give Stevenson a rare loss. It could definitely go either way as we all know. But I think BJ can get it done. I like Joe too, but I’m wanting BJ to leave a legacy, and this win will be required for that. We’ll get to Sherk when that bridge is in front of us. I like BJ’s striking over Joes, and while ground is good for both, I’ll give BJ a nod for BJJ and overall flexibility too, which I think will be key to his victory. Yeah this is gonna be a war.
As far as Gonzaga and Werdum, I'll go with the beast Gonzaga. Kendall over Rivera, Gouveia over Lambert, Marcus over Laudin, should be a hot one though there though.
Have at it guys,

Well, BJ should certainly win. From what I have seen he a good camp. There is really nowhere I can see Stevenson beating BJ, other than stretching a fight out and getting a 3-2 UD. But I think BJ will end it in the second with a submission.
Werdum is tough to finish, so I think Gonzaga will out muscle him and outstrike him to a UD.
If B.J. comes in shape, he is pretty much unstoppable. That is the big “if”. I’m giving the Prodigy the nod with a first round submission.
Gonzo/Werdum makes my head hurt. Fabio’s last showing was pretty sad, and Gonzo didn’t wimp out with the Natural. Coin tosser for me…I’m gonna say Fabio by first round KO. I just pulled that out of my ass.
I’m expecting Davis, Lambert, Grove, and Stout to win.
Penn will show up in excellant shape for this fight. I totally agree with him having the edge on the mat. and i see a submission victory for him in that fight. Gonzo IS a beast and not only that but he’s conditioned very well i see him taking that one by K.O late in the 2nd, early 3rd

2007 was the year of the upset, but I don’t see that trend happening again in 2008.
BJ has clearly re-dedicated himself to the sport and is really set on building his legacy. Stevenson is a good, well-rounded fighter, but BJ is just at another level when he comes in motivated, and in good condition. BJ will win this within 2 rounds by submission.
Gonzaga should rebound from the loss to Couture and pick up the win.

It would have to be the luckiest punch ever, for sure. Penn’s chin is fucking granite. I missed The Countdown show, anyone see it?
Yeah it was pretty good. Stevenson looks like he had a great camp. BJ looks like he did too. While Joe was up at Big Bear doing the high altitude thing, BJ had his own little "high altitude tent", which he has been sleeping in. So he did his sea level workouts etc, and slept in that thing I guess to get his lungs acclimated to working hard that way. BJ looks fucking great, I know he's not the same guy now, he's going to destroy Stevenson, I'm positive of that. Hell he might KO the fucker too, like you said we all know from his fights that BJ can take a hell of a lot of damage and keep going. Nobodys really hung with Stevenson long enough or caught him like that so I say it could happen like that too.
Anyway it was pretty good. Gonzaga is still looking ferocious, but Werdum impressed me too, he's over in Chute Box, and was looking pretty impressive, much more aggressive than he looked in that ridiculous bout against Andre. I'm not impressed with Andre ever since he started fighting like a pansy against Sylvia. He's been fighting like he doesn't want to lose, vs wanting to destroy the other guy ever since that fight imo.

I wouldn’t count Werdum out against Gonzaga. Especially since he has already beaten him once.
Yeah, I heard that on MMA Insider. Jungle fights? For some reason I picture strategically placed foliage and gorillas beating the shit out of one another with sticks. Gonzaga kind of looks like a gorilla.
