Does anyone know the record for atlas stone load for under 105 kg? I’m curious because Justin Loy is super close to loading some ridiculously heavy sh!t.
Does anyone know where strongman records are kept? I have check the strongman corp website but it does not have relevant atlas stone records and every other source that I have found only shows ATWR’s, but no weight class records.
Following, ad I’m interested in the records also.
Carl in Dover
So if I remember correctly, Anthony Fuhrman is putting on Clash of the Coast in April and is going to have a 105kg atlas stone world record event. the 90kg atlas stone WR is 200kg, set by an Australian man that is the 90kg WSM.
I could see a 210-220kg atlas stone being loaded for the U105 guys
210kg stone is no joke. A few years back a 210kg stone was considered heavy for open weights.
Would be interesting to see if they hadn’t stopped max stone events where it would be. Problem is nobody wants to make a 260kg stone because it gets lifted once…
Back when I made this original post, Justin Loy lapped and damn near loaded to 50" a 458 stone. (For those not familiar with him, he won strongman corp MWO nationals last year and took 5th at ASM 3 weeks later), and he wasn’t even really training for a big stone at that time. Actually I don’t think he was training stones at all.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see more like a 220-230 stone, but I am trying to keep expectations realistic too.
Apparently Nicolas Cambi just hit a 451 (205kg) stone to I think 48", at a competition in Russia. And that was posted on his IG. Then someone came out of the woodworks saying the actual WR for the 105k guys was 210 kg (I think it was a Norwegian guy that hit it?). I guess the unofficial official WR for the 105k stone load is 463 lbs/210 kg.
205kg stone at 105…
Mad. I can JUST get a 130kg.
