Type 3 Protein Less Than 1g/lb Bodyweight?

Coach,

I purchased the type 3 mass gain high carb diet awhile back. The plan is set up for eating only 20% of overall calories for protein. That puts my protein at less than 1g per pound of bodyweight. Should type 3’s eat less protein to get in the extra carbs? Or should I aim for at least 1g/lb of bodyweight?

Thank you for your time and stay healthy.

Anywhere between 0.8g/pound and 1.25g per pound is fine. You don’t need huge amounts of protein to build muscle, especially if your carbs are fairly high, because carbs are protein-sparing.
