true, there are leaner football players. But, there is a general public sterotype of the linebacker. I already wear a 36X30 pants. That is the waist size is takes to fit around my glutes and upper legs. My ineer legs rub together, not form fat either, just size.My upper body, from lateral delt to lateral delt, is as wide as the distance from my waist line to my neck.
My upper body is very “boxy”. I could stand to lose “some” weight around my gut, but there is no excessive bodyfat on the rest of my body, not even legs, glutes. I need to get a recent pic to upload for critiquing!!
Thirty minutes of cardio twice a day every other day or so is not going to give you a problem if you already have a good base. Since we’re probably talking about jogging a little bit, just make sure you have good shoes for your weight and you might want to stay on the tread mill for a while. I probably do more cardio than most people on this site from what I can determine, but I enjoy it and have found it to be extremely benefitial in several areas. Jogging for thirty minutes is not going to make you evaporate or become the next eliteballa3. Just increase the good stuff in your diet to keep from losing your energy (you already know what that needs to be) and have at it. If I want to mix up my routine or adjust my weight a little, I often hit the treadmill for thirty before and thirty after my weight training. I couldn’t do that for extended periods but thirty minutes of exercise just isn’t all that much.
Anyway, just try different things and find out what works best for you. Adjust the minutes, speed etc…and you’ll find out what works for you fairly quickly.
