So, to be clear: The main issue for you isn’t the president’s attitudes/beliefs, but the fact that someone shared those attitudes/beliefs with the electorate?
Sometimes it can lead to some permanent physical and emotional changes:

`“Trump said he was only expressing what many people think but won’t say about immigrants from economically depressed countries, according to a person who spoke to the president as critics of his comments ricocheted around the globe.”
“I’m only saying what everyone’s thinking right? I mean everyone thinks this stuff but are scared to say it? Guys? Guys? Just racists say that? Well I’m not racist. How many times do I have to tell everyone that.”
“Trump spent Thursday evening calling friends and outside advisers to judge their reaction, said the confidant, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to disclose a private conversation. Trump wasn’t apologetic about the inflammatory remarks and denied he was racist, instead, blaming the media for distorting his meaning, the confidant said.“
“Oh shit maybe everyone doesn’t think this way. Ok two options deny or blame the media. Let’s try both! If you apologize you look guilty and I will never ever apologize as I’m never wrong! If I apologize my supporters might not blame this one on liberals or CNN!”
From the above article:
“If that’s not racism, I don’t know how you can define it,” Florida GOP Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.
Paul Ryan just came out with a statement on what we have been talking about.
“Claiming a person can’t do their job because of their race is sort of like the textbook definition of a racist comment,” Ryan said at a press conference in Washington Tuesday to unveil a new anti-poverty plan. “If you say something that’s wrong, I think the mature and responsible thing is to acknowledge it.”
Oh whoops apparently Ryan saying that was from an earlier racist Trump statement. So hard to keep up with. Damn RINOs supporting these liberal ideas like racism.
Read this report put together by the standard bearer of globalism (UN) and see that the countries singled out do offer very little in progress of the human condition.
I am of the opinion that Durbin pulled this stunt as a political move.
We have our own shitholes - the Deep South, the inner cities, most of Hawaii and Puerto Rico, the Industrial Belt, even dear East Texas. These need repair before we nation build or import the rest of the world. I fail to see why that is a difficult concept.

Of course you are. After all he made Trump say it right? And nothing you put really has anything to do with his comments which you are dying to either defend, pretend he didn’t say, or blame on someone else.
Now you’re trying to invent a point he didn’t make so you can say the racist comment was correct?
Are you seriously using Puerto Rico as an example here? Trump has completely ignored PR as he, essentially, doesn’t recognize it as part of the US.
Why defend someone who, I know you know, isn’t worthy of it?
What does this guy have to say or do for his supporters to finally see that he is a misogynistic racist lying vile little man.I suspect nothing. Just like he said, he can shoot someone in the middle of 5th avenue and his supporters will still be there making excuses for him. Trump is the same guy he always has been his whole life. He told you all who he was and that’s what you wanted so I hope you all are very happy till mueller makes America great again.
This post is an example of a diversion. It is apologetic. It is the typical but but Obama/Hillary argument.
It has nothing to do with the issue but, since you brought it up, what would people from those states say if Trump called them shithole states as you did?
They’d say “well if you take out all the damn Democrats…”
I think they might use a different word.
Like everything else Trump says or does, it would simply be blamed on the media, Fake News, and the notorious, ever-present “Deep State”.
I remember when I was younger and my uncle explained the Illuminati & Free Masons to me. I remember thinking that seemed really silly and probably wasn’t real.
Good to see what life would have looked like if I bought it though.
Trump will fire Sessions.
What if he admitted it?
Just cause you ain’t paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.
Alex Jones for VP. Trump said he liked him.
I just don’t get why anybody is remotely surprised… He’s trump, he’ll say shit like that. But I cannot say he’s all together wrong. Most places in the world are shit holes. There are more shit holes than non-shit holes.
Norwegians don’t leave for the U.S. because they don’t live in a shit hole. They may leave because of taxes.
If you get wound up every time trump says something ridiculous, you’ll have an ulcer before his term is up.
The problem is it’s, your ulcer. He won’t feel it.
I’m not surprised, and doubt if anyone is. Rather, I’m outraged–and embarrassed, and saddened, and concerned…
I get wound up when the POTUS says something ridiculous, as should all Americans.
Considering I am an immigrant and am grateful as hell to be a citizen of the U.S.A., I am most certainly not against immigration at all. If it were not for the U.S.A. I would have grown up in a total and complete shit-hole. Such was the reach of the might U.S.S.R. back then. Like many immigrants my family started with not a damn thing.
I am 100% for immigration reform and I am against illegal immigration, but considering that I am an immigrant, I am a ‘they’, I am most certainly not against immigration to the U.S.A.
I think the bureaucracy in place now is ridiculous. But I don’t want people uncounted for crossing the borders with impunity.
