Unfortunately I don’t think these types of voters are going away. They were there before Trump, he just rallied them together by openly endorsing all the lies that they believe anyway and added to them.
What I do have hope for is that politicians, if they’re denied corporate support will be forced to be truthful with their constituents. The voters prone to wackjob conspiracy theories will then be left with fringe candidates. They’ll still get some traction…see Marjorie Taylor Greene: amazingly we now have a Republican in name who openly supports a home grown terrorist organization.
So, why wouldnt we confiscate the guns of people who are on a no-fly list, and ban them from owning guns ever again? Are there any other fun fringe benefits that go along with bring on a no-fly list?
They’re on the no-fly list because there is hard evidence of them participating in a violent insurrection attempt against the US government. Seems like a good use of an emergency temporary seizure warrant (or whatever the process is). We already do that to folks who have threatened violence, or are having a mental health crisis.
Am I getting this right- parler required a photo of your ID to sign up for a website whose whole point is you can post the most extreme distasteful shit you want without any moderation? What kind of absolute moron would sign up for that?
I believe that’s on the state level, not the federal level.
BTW, after talking to someone I know about the woman shot by Capitol Police, I think it could very well be a good shoot. In isolation I don’t think it was but then I thought about how there was poor communication within the LEOs who were there so that cop had no idea that it was only one unarmed woman trying to breach that barricade. It must have been chaotic for them.
Why not just persecute then? I think many on the no fly are suspected of things perhaps with some evidence or insufficient eviedence. To me that isn’t enough to lose rights.
There are a handful of videos of capitol police either supporting rioters or involved in deriliction of duty.
However, the more videos that come out the more of a minority it seems to be. Almost all the videos I’ve seen in the last few days show cops HEAVILY outnumbered doing their best to hold back large mobs of rioters forcing their way through lightweight barriers and physically beating cops outnumbered 20-1. Must have been terrifying. It’s scary to watch from my couch. Add in the fact that the c u next Tuesday was breaching the final barrier to the #2, 3, and 4 in command of our country… Fuck her. 100% good shoot.
The capitol police chief who resigned has said he spent the 3 days leading up to the riot pleading for backup… And was ignored. Fuck.
We hold people without bail all the time, or with bail they can’t pay. It takes time to put together paperwork to bring charges… and time is of the essence when these nutjobs are organizing additional riots in the coming days.
Mother fuckers were involved in a violent insurrection against congress. A temporary seizure of their guns until due process has taken place is very much warranted IMO. We temporarily suspend people’s rights all the time if they pose an immediate danger.

You’d be surprised. Citi group pulled funding from Hawley. They only donated $1000 to him last year. That is well within what a middle class household can support. But that household would rather buy 3 new iphones instead and then bitch about having no political power.
Also the website didn’t scrub any data from uploads so latitude, longitude, device ID etc etc is all now out.
And yes front and back of state Id (driving licence?) was required to be a verified citizen but no email verification. They hacked the website by doing a password reset to their own email address.
All I really want to see are the mugshots of the people who killed that cop. Some loser in horns is small potatoes. Let the reality of life in prison sink into these larpers.
