Trump: 2020 and Beyond

Bison man and twink look like meth addicts, but I think methheads look different regionally. Lol.

Sounds like this summer. Where if I recall correctly you and I were on the same side - both upset at the riots and the relative lack of condemnation coming from leaders in the left. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

No fucking exceptions. You didn’t have the leader of the country basically inviting them to get crazy.

It was more than that.

And this was completely avoidable. I still do not see that the GOP had an active strategy to decertify the election, as we have claimed, but complicit cowardice from many people who should have been leaders let this come to a head today.

They can all reap it.

Can you name a single GOP leader other than Trump that has approved the violence today?
Even Trump Jr denounced them.

Peaceful assembly is still lawful.

Again the fire is on them and Trump’s head.

You mean like the Arizona GOP, where bison boy is from?

Ok you got me.

I guess you standing up for protestors on west coast makes their actions on you this summer.

How many can you name who have told Trump to shut up and be a good loser vs how many have enabled him to push a lie about the election?

You’re drunk. Go home.

They will. Everyone knew this was over once the Supreme Court decided not to hear the PA case. This was the last gasp of a loser, and it was a last gasp so bad that it will resonate for years to come.

I forgot to respond to this before

Please don’t tell me what I think about the things I’ve written. Ask if you’re unsure, perhaps. And pandering is not a strategic plan of action for specific physical outcomes. A vote getting ploy yes, and a poor decision. But pandering from each party is not what I have seen said.

Yes absolutely. And that is what I am getting at. Many in the GOP party did not speak out enough (or at all), but that does not mean that THE ENTIRE PARTY had a plan to decertify election results (not even just the leadership). No more than failing to speak out about the riots means the ENTIRE PARTY of democrats is looking to enforce radical leftist nonsense as law. Those are Trump’s words.

I don’t disagree with you about complicity for self centered gain on the part of the GOP. Not in the least (see other posts here and elsewhere). But the party is fractured, and I don’t see it fair to say it’s an entire GOP plan anymore than I think it’s fair to say “The Squad” represents the entire democrat party’s plan of action.

I didn’t keep track of the goings on other than poll numbers, so I didn’t realize this was the case in the regional advertising. Beyond terrible.

I appreciate that, and fully reciprocate the sentiment btw. Also agree with Trumpism.

This is where you lose me. Separate from the discussion about strategic action above, GOP congresspeople are acting out of cowardice and/or complete short sighted self interest, but I don’t think anywhere near a sizeable chunk of them are under Trump’s “spell”. A couple of newly elected loons yes, but I would not say most.

As for voters, I very much don’t like it when someone wants to paint all 80+ million Biden voters with one broad brush stroke. Or in this case all 74 million Trump voters. That’s part of the problem that led us to this point in the first place.

Besides that, I’ll repeat something I said elsewhere and that is: I view polls as the junk food of social science. All of them are more than suspect and I don’t think they’re anywhere near accurate on those topics you mentioned for many reasons.

More than should ever be the case? Yes for sure. But I don’t buy the poll numbers at all, not would I agree with “most” of them being in that camp.

Biden did speak out against violent protests. The idea that both sides are guilty is false.

Ruining everything good. Dammit.

Boy I hope so. I shudder at the thought of having the democrats able to push through whatever they want for years, but I want this horseshit stamped out forever no matter the cost in policy.

It was over long before that, but yes. I think this may finally be the end of the GOP as we have known it for the last 25 years. Time will tell, but as I’ve said before I want full spined adults in my legislature.

Was this to me or someone else? I never said he didn’t.

You have your facts, and they have their alternative facts.

A fun side effect from Day-fuckong-zero of the trump presidency. It’s been downhill from there.

Statement by Jim Mattis…

## Mattis says assault on Capitol was “fomented by Mr. Trump”

Former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, the president’s first secretary of defense, said Mr. Trump is responsible for the attack on the U.S. Capitol by a mob of his supporters.

“Today’s violent assault on our Capitol, an effort to subjugate American democracy by mob rule, was fomented by Mr. Trump,” Mattis said in a statement. “His use of the presidency to destroy trust in our election and to poison our respect for fellow citizens has been enabled by pseudo political leaders whose names will live in infamy as profiles in cowardice.”

Mattis said that while the Constitution and the nation will “overcome this stain,” and the American people will unite, the president will “deservedly be left a man without a country.”
