Not understandable to me why saying Trump has been held in check, is a firestarter.
Posting nonsense on the hour, hasn’t stopped the Constitution from working. He has not been able to implement a large part of his ideas. This call for neckbeards to storm the Capitol and prevent the vote will fail, per our laws. The fire he and the neckbeards have brought down on their own heads, is entirely on them.
The system has worked.

A woman is dead. Trump does bear some responsibility for that. She was duped into believing she was defending the Constitution but in reality she was just collateral damage in Trump’s quest to soothe his ego and line his pockets. I mean, where is the bombshell evidence that Trump promised?

You aren’t worried about an outgoing president trying to overthrow a free election and encouraging rioters to violently storm congress based on demonstrably false information that he has convinced tens of millions to believe… Because it will probably ultimately fail in it’s objective.
But you were SUPER worried about a couple hundred angsty antifa throwing rocks and fireworks at a concrete county courthouse in a state not your own over the summer because.

It’s on every GOP member that has entertained his insane ideas since he lost the election as well. They were terrified to stand up to him when he won and terrified to stand up to him when he lost. They could have simply came out and been unified in what we all know is absolute nonsense of a stolen election.
But they didn’t do that. They boosted the idea for their own political gain. Trump and the dumbasses can own their own actions I agree. But the GOP is absolutely complicit in the idea that helped lead to the actions. And for what? Losing senate control in a historically safe Republican senate state?

Oh it’s more than that. This is a dark dark day for our country. I did not imagine people storming the capitol in my craziest moments.
Problem is it’s too late now. He’s got 2 weeks left. Calabresi (co-founder of the Federalist Society) called for his impeachment back in June or July on the basis of his tweets about the election. Which I would have supported in a heartbeat.
