Just like bidenomics, lol
Time to jump ship as the captian is sinking the boat
Yeah. Or positioning it for a sale. Many of the changes over the last several years have felt that way.
I dislike the fact that I can’t see timestamps on posts and this makes me very hesitant to reply. Also, the whole platform lacks any intuitive features. Very difficult to navigate, with a clumsy and clunky UI which leads one to endlessly scroll until they quit out of frustration.
I’m old and cranky. I don’t like it when things change. I don’t see any advantage to the new format.
What is this change attempting to accomplish?
Starting with a positive: I do like the new ‘recent topics’ feature of the forum.
Negatives would be basically everything else. I pretty much figured out how to use the new format, but, it’s not very good. The usable portion of the page is much too small, and there is absolutely no need for each topic to be in a box with text preview. A list is much more efficient, especially when screen space is compromised.
Just on glance (and I’m admittedly relatively unfamiliar with X/ Twitter), I think they’re trying to create more of a familiar feel to those types of platforms. Not necessarily familiar to older-style forum users, but to folks who are more used to the “feed” type platforms.
I don’t know anything at all, that’s just a guess, but that’s how the layout feels to me.
This new forum layout is a huge negative and may be a dealbreaker for me. The new layout is so painful to navigate and look at.
It’s not even geared towards widescreen monitors.
It has a narrow aspect ratio, so 90’s.
I’ve woken up from my hallucinations, it’s back to the old format! Love it.
Finally! Old forum is back!
Our prayers have been answered! Way to go Tnation!
Thank you for bringing back the old format. If it’s not broke don’t fix it.
Thanks for listening to the community.
