Triceps Extension Form

With the lying and standing triceps extension, is it recommended to keep the back arched at all times?

Since there would be no way to cheat later in the set when back is already arched and since correct lying bench press calls for arched back which would provide a stable base to press from. However this is only my opinion. What’s yours?

My back is always arched, but I bend forward on standing extensions. It feels more stable and it’s easier to do cheat reps.

whether or not my back is arched is one of the last things I would ever think about while working my triceps.

It’s down there on the list with “are my glutes contracted?” and “are my toes pointed?”

Good point, your back arch is a pretty moot point. Focusing on a full ROM is more important.
