What is The Best Way of Doing Triceps Extensions?

Triceps always have been my weak point. So I started my search for the best type of extension.

Immediately I cam across two groups of people. One group says that we best way of doing laying triceps extension is by doing classic skull crusher and the other group of people tells to lower the barbell behind your head and go all the way down.

Rippetoe demonstrates second type of extension in this video:

So what is the most optimal way of doing laying triceps extension. From looking at bio mechanics and potential for overload second type of triceps extensions should be superior. You get better range of motion and have higher potential for strength progression.

What is your opinion on this topic?

1- uSe 2 DBs instead of any type of bar to allow for a better stretch without hitting your forehead

2- do slightly behind your head (laying) or as I actually prefer on a slight decline to keep better tension on the outter head.

Yeah, definitely do some variation that involves shoulder extension (bringing the weight behind your head). The long head is very under stimulated through traditional pressing exercises and dips. Pullovers are very good for this and form can be adjusted to hit the triceps even harder.
