Transwoman Takes First Place

OK good to know about the salary levels overseas. I don’t understand your other point though. Laural/Gavin grew up a male and was a pretty competitive Olympic lifter as a male. Not Olympic level, but pretty good. Now he/she is a woman and she’s rocking T levels many times that of her competitors who were born with ovaries. How is that a deficiency?

Yeah that one was interesting especially the part about Laural’s hormone levels.

You’d think she’d have enough credibility in that broad community but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case. There’s probably a lot of people under 45 who don’t know who she is.

I agree here.

I think let trans women compete against each other. I don’t see much issue with that. I don’t necessarily think organizations should be mandated to show it though. I think there is actually some demand for it, and then a market would follow. But if women are fine with it, it doesn’t really impact me, so I guess I don’t care so that much.

I think you’re probably wrong about that, and I don’t think that’s a problem at all. People play sports at all kinds of age, skill, and disability levels. This is because it is a fun and rewarding pursuit in general, as anyone on this site should know. People self-select to spend their time doing athletic things and have, aside from dirty cheaters like Hubbard, self-selected to participate in the arena they find most suitable and rewarding.

Very, very few of these have or really “deserve” an audience beyond family and friends, etc. That’s what normal athletics for most people is like, as it should be. If you’re an adult who feels entitled to win big on your warped personal terms that upend all sane convention, well, fuck you.

Edit: to be clear, that was a fuck-you directed at Hubbard, not you.

I don’t have an issue with it either. All sorts of sports don’t have a big audience. If it does get traction, I don’t really care either. Lots of things exist that make money that I personally don’t think have much merit (reality tv stars, influencers, etc). I didn’t think we should forbid it.

Did you realllllly just post this…?

A bunch of sub par “men” just said fuck it and decided to magically change genders to be able to compete.

I never won a state title in wrestling… Who knew all I had to do was a dick tuck and change my name to Zoey or Juanita

Not too late. That weightlifter is 43?

Well jeez. When you put it like that it does seem kinda strange.

Intersting point. Unquestionably though there are people who are trans. Who will transition regardless. The earlier they begin transitioning the more likely they are to achieve an external appearance congruent with how they identify.

Its like you have to pick between making a type 1 or type 2 error.

Although I agree. Preposterous to let a child make those kinds of decisions.

Well in the UK and Australia Gillick v West Norfolk and Wisbech Area Health Authority set precedent for what is now known as the Gillick competence. A little assessment largely left to the discretion of the child’s physician to determine if they have the mental capacity to make their own medical decisions. Which is simply wether the physician deems the child to understand the medical treatment being proposed.

I don’t necessarily agree with it. But its not that much different than a 13 year old being given oral contraceptives by her GP without her parents knowledge.

Amazon bans books?

Oh I’ve often thought that perhaps some of these newly minted girls walking around in high heels did so because they couldn’t cut it. Contrary to what woke culture will tell you being a man, a successful man, is actually rather difficult. Most men are not successful. Especially if the metric we choose is reproductive success. Where on average each women will have one child and half of men will have two and half of men will never procreate. It was just a thought though.

Great point. I read or watched somewhere that the suicide rate of this group after transitioning was still ridiculously higher than the rest of the population. Possibly suggesting there are other issues at play. Of course certain people would tell you its all the trauma they endured living a life as a marginalised person and we need to work better as a society to become more accepting. Maybe then the suicide numbers will go down.

That’s about all you can do.

Like the fact that there are two sexes that can be identified at birth in 99.99% of people?

There isn’t even a demand for professional women’s basketball in the U.S. The NBA has lost over $10,000,000 a year since the inception of the WNBA.

Well. I don’t know if I can in good conscious remain a patron of amazon. Where am I going to get my 3D Doritos from now.

Well doesn’t matter. These people won’t be so well recieved by the mujahideen when they come.

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas said: “The Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) said “cursed is the one who does the action of the people of Lut.”

And somewhere it mentions making them fly from the rooftops of buildings. Sooo they better transition into something with wings. Otherwise that sudden impact will be the end of them. And if it isn’t well theres the stones they have to worry about.

Life in the West is sooo oppressive. Isn’t it.

Your bias against me and “liberal scum” like me leaves you blinded and angry despite finding common ground. Read what i wrote again, but less angrily.

If a biological female was born trans, he is super fucked if he wants to pursue (most) sports. luck of the draw. I was a headcase and have sloppy shoulders which limited how far i went as a QB. Thats life. Trans is just one of many possible physical and mental limitations/deficiencies that we can be born with that will limit our level of competitivness… why should special accommodations be made for this specific limitation? Sports should be meritocratic, full stop. Special accomodations have been made for women already, but that is understandable due to them making up (more than?) half the human population.

A biological female is born just that, A BIOLOGICAL FEMALE. There is no “born trans”. I remember in the not that long ago, this wasn’t even up for debate. I blame the schools frankly.

You can’t be born trans? Why not?

Can you be born gay?

Gender dysphoria is something that does happen. I don’t think it is a choice (which is what I think you are implying). They may not have it at birth, but as they develop, they will without choice not feel they are in the right body. There have been people like this for as long as we know. They just didn’t have access to HRT or surgery until recently.

I am okay with trans folks being able to compete in sports with the same gender trans people.

You are either born a male or a female. That’s the beginning, middle, and end of it.

Sounds like you don’t grasp what trans is. It’s separate from biological sex.

That’s called a mental illness.

I am a real, live 22-year-old woman, with a scarred chest and a broken voice, and five o’clock shadow because I couldn’t face the idea of growing up to be a woman, that’s my reality,” admitted Cari Stella in a deeply personal YouTube video.

There are countless stories like this.
