I mean this in the nicest way possible, but how are you not stronger for being so damn big haha?

Haha that’s okay, I wonder the same thing. One of my training partners is about 20 pounds less than me, but out squats and deadlifts me by about 50 lbs each. I think it’s because I’m still trying to perfect my form. Once I really nail my form down, the lifts should skyrocket. I guess my bench is okay for my size, but my squat and deadlift? Definitely not.

You better get used to getting called nicknames pertaining to lifting when/if you join ROTC. I always got some from my cadre. It’ll surprise you how just generally physically unimpressive most cadets are.
Hey man great progress! Especially on your pull ups. You’ve come a long way. Good luck on your meet. I just did one today and was nervous as shit all day. But, it came time to lift and I won 1st at the 148 deadlift. So my advice is take snacks, listen to some music, relax, and lift!

Fuckin’ A dude, nice! Thanks for the kind words; I appreciate it. It’s been a long road so far, and I have many more miles to go. Can’t wait for what the future holds.
Also, I took 2/3 of my ROTC scholarship PFT. I did 70 pushups and 65 sit ups. Just gotta wait for a cooler day (weather wise) to do my mile run since it’s been about 100 degrees every day for the past week here in Chicago.
How’s the hip feeling?

I already get plenty at school. Somebody will yell “roids!” whenever I walk by every once in a while. I just laugh most of the time.

Thanks man! The hip is a lot better! And dude thats a good pt score! The Army and ROTC will be lucky to come across someone in as good of shape you are. Being strong and in shape makes Army life SOOOO much easier!
PS No homo but you’re lookin good bro!

Don’t humor them with laughter. Make them feel bad for their lack of creativity.
People always say anyone who lifts is on steroids. I have been accused of it. I am 5 8 and weigh 135-140… Do I fucking look like I am juicing?
People don’t understand that hard work WORKS because they’d rather smoke pot and have a baby at 17. Most of the people who said I’d never be a good lifter are 20 year old potheads with no ambition or pride. But I’M the loser because I lift?

The scientific term for those type of individuals is “cunts.” Ignore them.

Couldn’t say it better myself. Fuck em, they don’t dictate my life nor my success.
U built yourself one damn good physique man and by reading through this log you earned it.

Well said. Even when I was a sophomore in high school and was 5’6" and 165 lbs., I got accused of juicing. People mistake hard work for drugs.

I can’t wait to see your meet results. Are you still gonna do a bodybuilding show? Also what weight classes will you do for both?

I’ve never been accused of anything, now I felt left out…
ANYWAY LUKE, lookin’ thick bro…

I can’t either. I’m 20 days out from the meet. I’ll be competing at 198.
As for the bodybuilding show, I’m still not entirely sure if I’ll do it. I’d really like to, but with trying to get ready for ROTC and being in military shape, not bodybuilding shape, it might not be too beneficial to me. I don’t have a clue how the weight classes work, so I’d assume I’d be like, middle weight?
