1/31/2015 Sumo Pulls PR: 605 of 2" Block and 605 of floor

Wish I took a video but I was training by myself, hit 565x3 off a 2" deficit beltless with a hook grip. Things are moving nicely in my off season style training.

Paused 325 lb today for a 5 lb PR. Gotta work on getting the bar settled a little quicker. Morning weigh in 165.6 lb

As of today, at a weight of 290-295 (struggled with weight mightily for years until I found my way back into a weight room and powerlifting):
Bench Press PR: 425
Squat: 585 (this was in July, haven’t squatted regularly since due to knee issues)
Deadlift: 490
Military: 280

Managed my first ever 600lbs (272.5kg) deadlift today, sitting at bodyweight ~101kg aged 22, so still just about a junior

Been practicing getting stricter on my overhead work. Tried pressing out of the rack with the rack set right at the bottom of the lift this morning. Worked up to 245 which is technically a PR since it’s a new variation. Just missed 255 after this though.

Hit a 425lbs front squat Saturday. It was a bit high, but this is only the 2nd time I’ve ever front squatted in wraps and this is only my 2nd squat session since my comp. in December. so I’m pretty happy with it for the moment. I’m still nursing my hip to make sure I don’t aggravate it too much. My goal is to hit 455.

Finally nailed a 500lb squat

Also hit 585 conventional deadlift two or three weeks ago

Hit a 170 kg squat yesterday on a shitty morning… Slowest rep evarr, but I’ll take it. My very shitty squat is turning gradually less shitty.

Pulled 405 beltless, kinda stiff-leg from a 5" deficit tonight. Did this on a whim in response to a challenge I was issued. I’ve never done deficit deadlifts before so this was interesting.
