hit a couple of PR’s on overheads today.

275x9- + 4 rep PR

reverse grip overhead press
245x6 + 20lb PR
[/quote]

For the RG OHP: index finger and thumb on the same side of the bar?

I did the Jeremy Scruggs Deadlift Challenge Saturday. I beat my old raw MSA World Record of 675lbs with a pull of 685lbs. Looking for a raw 700lbs soon!

yep…the index pretty much stays straight against the bar while the other fingers curl around it.

Thanks Meat! I wish I was making the kind of progress in the gym I see you making all the time. I’d be elite level by now.

Solid pull!

Way to go with that slow ass grinder DF. I wonder if that infamous below knee box elevation could be harder than from the floor.

I think its harder cause I get less leg drive.

I agree with this after doing below the knee box pulls (although not as low as DF’s)

SLDL’s- 605 x 6 immediately followed by a PR for pants shitting. Luckily, I was laying face down on the floor when it happened and most of it was contained by my only pair of crotch-hole-less UA compression shorts… I should send them an email and see if they can put that in their next big marketing campaign. “UA Compression shorts: Holds your shit in when you can’t.”

Oh damn. So should that mean you can pull it from the floor? If so, nice!!! I may give these a shot myself.

haha not exactly. I have pulled 650 off the floor in just the briefs. I can drive weight off the floor that I cant lockout. By starting higher it takes away all momentum and I can overload the lockout.

Awesome. What’s your bodyweight at now Storm?

back is healing up nicely. hit a deadlift PR. my best attempt at this variation is 545 with the doubled bands. this is 565 with doubled bands…felt very comfortable. next week i’ll take these up to somewhere between 585 and 600. the bands were pulling so hard down at the top that you had to let the bar go or it would rip the callouses right off your hands.

hit a few bench PR’s tonight

bench press against bands
505x1 + 10lb PR

floor press- legs straight, long pause

495x1 + 20lb PR- this was a grinder

titan ram close grip bench press

545x1 + 10lb PR

^holy fuck
