Getting leaner. The measurement is horrible so I’m not even going to post it, lol.

Kakno, I haven’t hit that yet, but I also went on an 8 week cut and dropped down from around 230 to 208, and now am back up to 218, so I didn’t have a real opportunity to hit a PR. But I did hit 475 for a pretty strong 5 at about 210 BW, so I definitely have 500 x 5 + in the tank.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but didn’t you hit that on page 14 of your log? Good job on the cut BTW.
I did, I hit 500 x 5 in mid October, and my weight was around 225-227, I didn’t back squat a ton after that, but did hit 515 x 4 in late December at the beginning of my cut. I haven’t really attempted to back squat heavier than 475 x 5, which remember was done at nearly 20 pounds lighter.
Bug, legs looking awesome!
Don’t have a leg pic but leg strength and stamina is very important in my sport so I’ve always trained them diligently! No idea what they measure but they give me enough strength to fireman carry my opponents… lol
What would the guys with the big thighs say is the most important thing to consider when trying to the legs to really grow? I feel like I know but I wanna know what people with better legs think.

Neglecting hams is just about the worse thing one can do when it comes to leg size?

Thanks for the quick response and trust me I won’t neglect them one bit.
Not giving it your all.
I know this sounds very simply, but legs can tolerate a TON of pain. I’m talking the kind of pain where you finish a set, feel like you’re gonna die, and then do 2-3 more sets. Your legs can tolerate much more pain than you think.
Just look at guys with the best legs and watch how they trained. Let’s just put it this way, If you don’t get a butterfly feeling in your stomach before leg day, you’re probably doing it wrong. Train intense, smart, and kill every set, and I promise you, regardless of your “program” or exercise selection (well, sort of) you will build some solid legs.

Again thanks. I really get what your saying about the intensity. I’m getting really close to that point when I get anxious the day that they are worked.

How long did it take you to get a 500+ squat? That is my goal for the summer.
Well, I had a pretty severe knee injury Senior year in high school, so I pretty much started from the ground up training legs after that, so it took me around 2 years to work up to a 500 + squat. Essentially, 18-20.

That sucks but you came back big time. Do you wear a belt? Any you would recommend? I don’t wear one but I think I might have to in order to reach my goal.
I do wear a belt, Inzer power economy belt.

Thanks I’ll try to get one in a couple of weeks.
I`ll post some legs too
Hey what the hell, in the spirit of leg exercises, here’s a [beltless] front squat PR from this morning:
Awesome lift H4M. Do you usually train front squats with low reps? My back squat is almost 100lbs less than my deadlift now and I am looking to correct that.
Fandango, that’s pretty normal.
My best dead is around 640 and best squat is 515 x 3, so I can imagine squat is around 100 lb less than deadlift. What does everyone else have to say on the subject?
