Deadlifts week 2, hey warm up dummy
Felt ready to go, kind of rushed my usual warm up/stretching crap and worked didn’t rest much through my warm up sets dumb…

CRAP lift! my low back seized up on the 2nd rep, I decided on deadlift I will do 5 sets with 135 if I have to before my deadlift clicks again, I think it takes me a little time to loosen up everything and get the grove so I pull right. I didn’t and went back to my old dumb form and payed for it, the lift was slow and painful.

and again midway through it clicks again and I pull solid easy FAST efficient deads. my low back still felt like crap so I called it a day took a hot bath, layed down, Going to start taking some Ibuprofen and dmso till its better haha. Thinking about going back to 3 days a week again
Found a different angle of my car deadlift from Nats last year, in this one you can see how close my face was o popping off my neck on the 4th rep. I swear strongman is making me uglier
That weekend I will be in SF for international astrology day. Yes.srs.

Its being filmed by the Travel Channel so if they end up airing it you wont miss it.
It looks like it will be a down year for strongman comps in California. One of the gyms I train at was talking about throwing one this summer at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz but I don’t think any actual plans have been made.
I might play. I’m so used to trying to eat big and gain weight it might make eating like a dieting bodybuilder more fun…

Thanks buddy. Goal is 1st place in the 200s and stir shit up in the LW (231) overall i’d like top 5. I think the winner of the 200s last year got 9th overall. Its a pretty damn competitive comp. Some local strongman shows will just have 1 or 2 high level guys per class but not CSM.
I was just thinking that some manflesh would cheer me up. So not disappoint!
Strongman in SC would be awesome. I’m planning on going to a PL meet in Concord on Saturday not sure now with everything else but I Def want to start going to some different kinds of comps.

I hope they do it in a way but hope it doesn’t in the fact my competition schedule is going to be so nuts already.
I am not talking shit about powerlifting I love doing my powerlifts but the meets can get boring they are fun but they are long. I MIGHT get talked into doing the meet April 1st at super training gym. I know a couple friends are doing it.
What you should come to is some of the Highland games. I honestly think they are the funnest from a spectators view. As there is a lot more going on. The schedule is Aredenwood April 14th this is more of a demo but is at Aredenwood Historic farm which is worth visiting in itself its in I think Fremont? I don’t remember off the top of my head.
Santa Cruz Scottish Ren Faire is June 16th Its in Watsonville at the fairgrounds. This is a fun one as there is lots of booths and activities since it is also a Ren Faire
Monterey is July 7th it was lacking last year booths were way down but how close it is to me I can’t miss it
